WordLinx is a get-paid-to website that pays you to view ads and share links, you can also get paid for doing a bunch of other stuff too like taking surveys, watching videos, playing games, shopping, and more.
If you’re a website owner you can also become an advertiser and pay to promote your ads on WordLinx, but doing so would be a bad idea and I’ll explain why later on.
You may have heard of Swagbucks (read my review,) it’s a very similar kind of thing. There are literally 1000’s of these types of get-paid-to sites on the internet, many are legit and do pay but some are scams. So is WordLinx a scam?
In this WordLinx review I’m going to go over how the whole thing works, how you get paid, what I don’t like about them, and finally whether they’re a scam or a legit way to earn.

Intro – WordLinx Review
Type: Get-paid-to (GPT)
Membership Price: Free to join / optional paid membership
My Rating: 2.2 out of 5
I did rate them 2.2 out of 5 because I feel WordLinx is legitimate, but a crappy way to earn. Viewing ads and all those things may seem very easy, but unfortunately easy means low pay.
WordLinx won’t even pay you until you earned at least $10 which doesn’t sound like a big deal, but the problem is you’ll only be earning a fraction of a penny per ad viewed, so you’ll be chasing that $10 for a LONG time! You’re better off joining Swagbucks (read review) instead where you can start redeeming at just $3, right now they even offer you $5 just for joining.
If you’re thinking about advertising on WordLinx, I would advise against it. The traffic you get would be low quality and random, it would be useless because this type of traffic won’t engage with your content/promotions.

How Do You Earn Money On WordLinx?
Everyday you’ll have a bunch of ads you can view. Each ad you view will earn you about $0.005 each (that’s HALF a penny!), and you’ll need to view it for about 15 to 30 seconds. There’s a timer bar that counts down, once it’s finishes you will be credited with earnings and can close the tab.
You can shorten any link you want and share them to your friends, blog, social media, etc. every time somebody clicks on the link they will have to view an ad for several seconds before they will be redirected to the intended website. If people click on those ads you will earn a percentage of whatever WordLinx earn from them.
You can get paid by taking surveys, but most are pretty hard to qualify for. If you do qualify you can get paid about $0.25 to $2 per survey, each survey typically takes 10 to 30 minutes to complete. The problem with surveys is that there are screening surveys to take, and if you don’t qualify then it’s just a waste of time.
Signing Up For Offers
Offers typically require you to sign up for something, like a website or an email list. You just have to provide your name, email, and other personal info. These are free to complete. Then there’s also the type of offers that require a credit card to complete, such as having to sign up for a free 30 day trial, it’s still free as long as you cancel your credit card in time.
More Ways To Earn…
WordLinx has a pretty good referral program that is 5-tiers deep. You just take the unique referral link they give you and promote it. Anyone who signs up under your link will be your referral and you’ll earn a percentage of they earn, as well as what your referral’s referrals earn, 5 tiers deep! They also pay bonuses if your referrals upgrade to a paid membership.
$0.50 Sign Up Bonus
WordLinx gives you $0.50 right off the bat just for signing up. It’s only half a buck, but any free money is good right? Well…
This sign up bonus is quite stingy in my opinion, other similar sites like Swagbucks (read review) and Inbox Pays (read review) gives you $5 to join, 10x more than what WordLinx gives you. Check out these other GPT sites that also offers a $5 sign up bonus.
How Does WordLinx Pay You?
As briefly mentioned before, you will have to earn at least $10 for them to pay you, and this amount is relatively high. You’re only earning pennies and nickles, and so it will take you at least a month or so to reach enough earnings to cash out.
They currently only pay via Paypal and they deduct a 5% fee off of cash outs that are less than $100, and a 2% fee for cash outs over $100.
You also have the option to use your earnings to pay for advertising on WordLinx, but this is a bad idea and I’ll explain more below on why that is.
Just Extra Income
You can only make so much when you get paid 1/2 a penny to view a 30 second ad, so it’s a big waste of time in my opinion. The only way to earn more on WordLinx is by having 100’s of 1000’s of active referrals, but that’s pretty difficult to obtain.
If you’re doing this just for fun then just extra income will suit you, but for people looking for a more substantial income you should check out my #1 recommended way of making money online instead.
Paid Membership Is a Gamble
You have the option to upgrade to a paid membership which will allow you to earn more on the things you do, as well as earning a higher percentage from your referrals. But this is only useful for people who can gather 1000’s of active referrals, otherwise you won’t even make back what you paid for the membership, much less making any money.
If you have a website and you’re thinking of advertising on WordLinx, that is a bad idea and I’ll tell you why.
When you go on WordLinx to earn money viewing ads, chances are you only care about the timer and collecting that $0.001 at the end, you’re not engaging in the ad and it’s content.
Well, if you’re on the other end as an advertiser, this means the large majority of your traffic will be random and useless! What’s the point then? What good is having 100s and 1000s of visitors to your website if they don’t engage or convert?

Final Verdict: Is WordLinx a Scam?
I wouldn’t call WordLinx a scam, but they are definitely NOT a good way to earn money online nor should you pay them to advertise on their site.
There’s very little good to say about WordLinx, all their ways to earn pay minuscule amounts, and by advertising on their site you’ll only be receiving low quality random traffic that are unlikely to engage with your content.
If you’re looking to make a small extra income then WordLinx is fine, but there are much better get-paid-to sites out there, I’d recommend that you join Swagbucks (read review) and Inbox Pays (read review) instead. Those 2 sites have a lot more ways to earn, and they even give you a FREE $5 just for signing up.
But if you’d like to make the kind of income that can allow you to kick your 9 to 5 to the curb, then forget about these low paying get-paid-to sites and check out my #1 recommended way of making money online instead.
