Type: Paid to watch and rate trailers

What Is Volkno?

Volkno is a site that pays their members to watch and rate videos. By sharing your input you will impact which movies and TV shows gets released. You’ll let content creators know what you want to see and how you want to see it.

If you want to have your opinions heard and earn a little extra income doing it, then Volkno might be worth joining.

Getting Started

Volkno is 100% free to join, but unfortunately it’s for USA residents only.

To sign up you’ll just have to fill out a simple registration form with your email, create a password, and then confirm your email.

If you’re not from the USA you might want to check out Swagbucks and Toluna instead which are excellent alternatives for earning extra income online.

Once you’ve joined Volkno you’ll be able to start earning “Flows” which is just a fancy term for reward points. Once you’ve earned enough Flows you’ll be able to redeem them for real rewards such as Amazon gift cards.

For your reference 1,000 Flows = $1 USD.

How Volkno REALLY Works

Once you’ve logged in to your main user hub you can click on the “Explore” section which will give you a big list of videos you can watch. These videos are basically trailers for movies, TV shows, video games, and other digital content.

There are 7 different video categories for you to choose from:

  1. New
  2. Surging
  3. Coming Soon
  4. Movies
  5. TV Shows
  6. Web
  7. Games

Just click on a video you want to watch and it will open up a tab which plays the trailer. After you finish watching it you will be rewarded with your Flow.

You also have to give feedback on whether you like/dislike as well as how it makes you feel. You’ll be given a list of emojis to give your feedback such as happy, excited, sad, surprised, angry, scared, etc.

Each video you watch will earn you 50 Flow plus another 10 Flow for giving your feedback.

You can also earn an additional 100 Flow by taking surveys. Depending upon how you answer, you might qualify for a new campaign opportunity worth thousands of Flow.

How Does Volkno Pay You?

Currently the only payment options I see is to redeem your Flow for an Amazon.com gift card which comes in these denominations:

  • $5.00 – 5,000 Flow
  • $20.00 – 20,000 Flow
  • $50.00 – 50,000 Flow
  • $100.00 – 100,000 Flow

Unfortunately it doesn’t appear you can exchange your Flow for any cash rewards like PayPal or check which is a bummer.

If you’re looking to get paid real cold hard cash then see These Sites That Pay With PayPal.

Your Monthly Earning Potential

So how much can you earn per month doing this? The short answer is… not much.

There are always lots of videos available for you to watch and rate, but the problem is they all pay very low for your time. Each video earns you 60 Flow which sounds like a lot but in reality it’s only worth $0.06.

Trailers can last anywhere from 2-3 minutes and it will also take you another half minute or so to give feedback, so you’re looking at earning only about $1.00 per hour which is well below minimum wage. But then again this is super easy money and actually fun to do if you like watching trailers.

Overall you shouldn’t expect to make anymore than $10 to $20 per month on this site.

If you’re looking for a way to earn a significant part time or full time income online then I recommend that you forget about these low paying reward sites and see my Top Work At Home Recommendation instead where I’ll show you how to earn 4-figures a month with a blogging business.

The Positives

  • Free to sign up
  • Lots of available trailers to watch
  • Fun and easy way to earn
  • Low $5.00 minimum payout

The Complaints

  • Membership restricted to USA only
  • Very low paying
  • Can’t redeem Flow for cash, only gift cards

Is Volkno a Scam?

While I was researching Volkno I did see many people on forums say that they’ve gotten paid, so I don’t think you’ll have any problems receiving your rewards. It appears that Volkno is scam-free and definitely a viable way to earn some free gift cards doing something easy and fun.

But this site won’t make you rich because it’s extremely low paying. Also the fact that you can only redeem Flow for gift cards and not cash via PayPal is a deal breaker for some people.

If you’re interested in earning some extra income online I recommend you see my Favorite “Get-Paid-To” Sites which are sites that also pay you to watch videos, but they have other income opportunities as well such as taking surveys, playing games, reading emails, opening emails, and tons more. Plus they all pay cash via PayPal.

Even with “get-paid-to” sites you still won’t earn more than $25 or so per site a month, and it’s important to understand that nobody can earn a living on these kinds of low paying reward sites.

If you want something that will allow you to kick your 9 to 5 job to the curb then I highly recommend that you come check out my Top Work At Home Recommendation which is a training platform that teaches you how to earn full time income with a blogging business.

That’s my 2 cents for this Volkno review, as usual if you have any experiences or comments leave them down below.
