Vindale Research is a survey site where they pay you to take online surveys.
They’re one of the pioneers of survey sites as they’ve been around since 2004. Vindale Research is not a scam, they do offer legit paid surveys you can do. But regardless of their trustworthiness, I think there are better sites you can earn more at.
This site only offer surveys and no other way to earn, I’m not a fan of that. I prefer get-paid-to sites instead, these are sites that not only offer paid surveys but you can also earn playing games, watching video clips, reading emails, clicking ads, and more. My favorite one is Swagbucks, they’re also an old site and has a very trustworthy reputation.
In this Vindale Research review I’ll go over how everything works at this site so you can make your own judgement as to whether you invest your time in with them.
Intro – Vindale Research Review
Name: Vindale Research
Type: Paid surveys site
Membership Price: Free
My Rating: 1.9 out of 5
In this review I gave Vindale Research a final score of 1.9 out of 5 and I think overall they’re a good survey site, but there’s not much about them that stands out from the rest. Being as old as they are you’d think they’d have the best surveys and payouts, but they’re just mediocre.
Most their surveys pay in the range of $0.50 to $1.25, just like other survey sites. I like how they pay out via Paypal and check, but unfortunately their minimum payout amount is set at $50 which will take you a long time to reach, and honestly most people will probably give up long before they reach it.
Doing surveys is boring and low earning, it’s better to join sites that offer more entertaining ways to earn and have lower minimum payouts. If this sounds good check out Swagbucks (read review) where you can earn playing games and watching videos, they pay with Paypal too with only a $25 minimum payout.
How Does Vindale Research Work?
Joining / $1 Sign Up Bonus
After you’ve signed up with your email and created an account, the next step is to complete a brief survey about yourself, this helps Vindale Research know you better and to give you more surveys.
There is also a tutorial and intro to the site and how it works, how to take surveys, etc. after you finish with the tutorial they’ll credit $1 to your account. From there you can start taking surveys to earn.
Think $1 is too little? If you like this kind of free money you may want to check out these sites here that offer a $5 sign up bonus.
This work just like any other survey site. Surveys come in a large range of topics, from current politics to health and lifestyle. Just click a survey that’s available and you’ll be taken to a page to answer a few screening questions to determine if you qualify or not, if you don’t qualify you can try another survey. I hate this because I never seem to qualify for these things and just wasted time.
If you do qualify then you can take the survey and get paid. Typically surveys only pay $0.50 to $1.25 each, ones that pay $25+ are out there but have really strict demographic requirements, so qualifying would be very difficult.
They’ll tell you how much each survey pays before you start, and each one takes about 15-25 minutes.
Survey Panel Offers
I’m not a fan of this section of their site because it just shows you a list of 3rd party survey panels they want you to join. These are just other survey sites, so you’ll have to fill in a sign up form and everything again. They ask you to join these sites because if you join then they will earn them a commission for referring you.
Referring others to make money is nothing new and I don’t think it’s wrong, but I don’t think those other sites on their list are that good. I recommend you check out these top get-paid-to sites instead which offer more ways to earn.
Other Ways To Earn…
Vindale Research has a pretty good referral program where you can earn $5 for every person you refer to join. But this comes with a stipulation, your referral must have completed at least 1 survey before you get that money.
Also it seems like this $5 is only a one-time payment to you. So they get to keep earning from your referrals, but you don’t. I prefer referral programs like the one you’ll find at Swagbucks (read review) that let you earn a percentage of your referrals’ earnings for life.
This is basically bonus money. Reward codes are a string of text you can find from time to time on their social media or blog, just copy and paste the reward code in the “redeem” box and you get some nice extra cash for very little work. They’re not always available so you have to be on the lookout for them.
Getting Paid By Vindale Research
As mentioned before Vindale Research has a minimum payout of $50, once you reach that amount in earnings you can request a payment through Paypal or mailed check.
They process payments only twice a month, on the 15th and on the last business day of the month. This is cumbersome because what if you reached the minimum payout on the 1st? Then you gotta wait 2 whole weeks? That’s too slow and I take points off for that.
Is Vindale Research a Scam?
This long-time survey site is definitely not a scam, but overall they’re a mediocre site that doesn’t offer anything special and I think there are better sites to join.
Vindale Research only offer surveys and nothing else, there’s no reason to join a site like that when you can join sites like Swagbucks (read review) that offers multiple ways to earn (including surveys.)
But all survey sites and similar things cannot replace your job, they just all pay too little. If you’re looking to kick your 9 to 5 to the curb then check out my #1 Recommended Way of Earning Money Online to learn how to make a full time online income blogging about a topic you love.
