Ever feel like your opinions aren’t valued and appreciated? Well you won’t have that problem at Valued Opinions, they’re a site that pays people to give their opinions through surveys and focus groups.
Valued Opinion is not a scam, they’re a legit site that do appear to pay. They’ve been around since 2001 and used to have pretty good user reviews, but in recent years there seems to be an increase in negative reports saying the surveys are getting harder to come by and harder to qualify for.
In this Valued Opinion review I’ll go over exactly what they have to offer, the advantages, problems, and whether they’re worth joining or not.
Valued Opinions Review
Name: Valued Opinions
Type: Surveys, product testing
Membership Price: Free To Join
My Rating: 1.9 out of 5
I rated Valued Opinions a 1.9 out of 5, they’re not terrible but there’s better sites to join to earn money online. Their surveys pays $1-$5 which is pretty high, but qualifying for a survey is difficult. Another big problem is they don’t pay you with cash, only gift cards. If you shop online a lot then that’s fine, but for cash lovers this is not a good survey site to join.
If you like surveys then you may also be interested in sites like Swagbucks and Inbox Pays where you can also earn by watching videos, reading email, opening cash offers, and more. They also pay with Paypal, so it’s cold hard cash you cash withdraw to your bank.
How Does Valued Opinions Work?
Who Can Sign Up?
Right now only USA residents can sign up, you also have to be at least 13 years of age to join. To create an account is completely free and all you need to do is fill out the registration form with your email, answer some questions in your profile, and from there you’re ready to start taking surveys.
Surveys at Valued Opinions work similarly to other survey sites. They pay $1-$5 each and take about 10-20 minutes to complete. After you created an account you’ll start receiving emails with survey invitations, you’ll see how much they pay before you start. You can also just log in to your Valued Opinion user dashboard and click “start survey” if there’s on available.
After you’ve completed a survey you earnings will be credited right away. If you qualify for a focus group and complete it then your earnings will be credited within 6 weeks.
Wait… I Have To Qualify For Surveys?
Starting a survey doesn’t mean you’ll be able to complete it and get paid, many times you’ll get kicked out for not qualifying. You could also get kicked out even AFTER qualifying for a variety of reasons such as the survey being closed. So you could already be 90% done and suddenly it’s closed and all that time wasted for nothing.
Sometimes there will be short unpaid surveys where they ask you some questions to get to know you better, they do this to be able to send you surveys appropriate to your current interests and lifestyle.
There are 5 different membership badges – Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. New members start at Bronze and you move up the badges as you complete surveys, fill in your profile, and make cash outs. These badges appear to be just a recognition thing, there doesn’t appear to be any exclusive rewards associated with attaining higher levels.
How Much Money Can You Make?
It really doesn’t matter which survey site you join, they’re all extra income opportunities at best. You won’t find a legit survey site that pays you a full time income to do surveys. With Valued Opinions it’s no different, so don’t quit your day job over this.
Wouldn’t it be great if you could just log in and take as many surveys as you like, qualify for every one of them, and make money all day? Unfortunately that’s not how survey sites work. Qualifying for one is like winning a mini lottery, and so earning opportunities are a rare occurance.
It’s possible to make around $10-$20 with these survey sites, some people may make less, some may make more. I recommend you join multiple extra income sites to increase your monthly earnings.
How Does Valued Opinions Pay You?
Once you have collected at least $10 in earnings you can make a cash out gift cards. There are many e-gift cards to choose from such as Amazon.com, Visa prepaid cards, Target, Macy’s, iTunes, Restaurant gift cards, and more. You can also select to donate your earnings to a charity. There is also a cash out fee on some rewards, such as paying $22 for an Amazon e-gift code.
Unfortunately there’s no cash payments via Paypal or check, this really sucks because with cash you can do whatever you please with it. Gift cards are only useful if you already shop online a lot. If you want cash instead then check out these sites that pay with Paypal.

Is Valued Opinions a Scam?
Valued Opinions appears to be scam free, they used to be highly rated survey site but in recent years have gotten a number of bad feedback for offering fewer and fewer surveys that are hard to qualify for. The fact they don’t even offer cash payments via Paypal or check will be a big turn off for many people.
If you’re looking to make extra income I’d recommend you join sites like Swagbucks, Inbox Pays, or Cash Crate instead. They offer tasks you can do to earn where no qualifying is required, AND they also pay with Paypal and many other methods.
If none of these extra income sites catches your fancy, you may want to take a look at my #1 Recommended Way of Making Money Online instead where you can earn the BIG bucks online.
So there’s my 2 cents on Valued Opinions. As always I really want to know what you think, leave your comments/questions down below!
