get paid to take voice your opinions

You’re probably looking at what I rated them, a 2 out of 5, and think that must mean they’re shady. But in my research there was nothing that indicated to me they’re a scam, so I’d say they’re legit. But the main issue here is you won’t make much money with them, they have limited ways to earn and they don’t even pay you in cash.

They’re just a “pure” survey site where taking surveys is the only way to earn, and surveys are hard to qualify for and pay very low. Also you’ll be earning gift cards, there’s no cash payments like check or Paypal. I’d say they’re scam-free, but a below average extra income site and I’d go for better ones instead.

There are better extra income sites that offer endless ways to earn and they also pay cash with Paypal, my favorite ones are Swagbucks, Inbox Pays, and Cash Crate.

How To Earn Rewards At Speak Up Surveys

Who Can Sign Up?

One of the great things about Speak Up Surveys is that anyone around the world can sign up, but you do have to be at least 13 years or older. This is unlike many other survey sites usually offering membership to only people from the USA.

To join just fill in a form with your name, email, date of birth, country, and some other basic info. Then once you’ve created an account you’ll have to fill out your profile answering some demographic questions like your income, education, hobbies..etc. After that’s done you’re ready to start taking surveys which is the main way to earn on Speak Up Surveys.

Taking Surveys

Surveys generally pay around $0.25 to $2 and they take 10-20 minutes to do. After you’ve signed up you will begin to receive emails with survey invitations, you can just click on the survey link and begin the survey. Or you can just log in and look for available surveys in your user dashboard.

But don’t get happy too fast, starting a survey doesn’t mean you’ll qualify. The first few questions you answer will be used to determine whether you qualify or not. How often you qualify depends on your location and other demographics, but usually you won’t qualify much more often than you do.

More Ways To Earn…

Sweepstakes

At Speak Up Surveys there are daily, weekly, and monthly sweepstakes that are worth $100, $250, and $1000 respectively. Every time you take a survey you’ll earn an entry into a sweepstakes draw.

I’m not a fan of sites that offer sweepstakes, there’s too much luck involved and I want to earn money not to play some lottery game where 99.9% of the time nobody’s gonna win anything.

Referring Others

Speak Up Surveys pay you to refer your friends to join, but for some really strange reason they limit you to a maximum of 10 referrals. Every time you refer someone you’ll get a one-time $0.50 in earnings. This referral system kind of sucks, I prefer Swagbucks where they give you 10% of your referrals’ earnings for the rest of your life.

How Do You Get Paid?

The payment options are $10 Amazon gift cards, $25 Dining Dough restaurant gift card, or Payoneer mastercard.

Here is the part I took a lot of points off Speak Up Surveys, their rewards are pretty limited in my opinion since they don’t pay in cash. You have to earn a minimum of $10 before they pay you, most other survey sites have minimum thresholds so this is okay. But if you’re looking to earn CASH and not gift cards, then see these Paypal-friendly extra income sites instead.

Speak Up Surveys Advantages

All Countries Can Join

Most survey sites only let you join if you’re from countries like the USA, Canada, UK, or Australia, but Speak Up Surveys is opened to anyone. While it’s true that you can join from any country around the world, there’s also a down side to this which I’ll discuss more on below.

Low Minimum Payout Threshold

You’ll only have to earn $10 before payment can be requested, this is considered low for industry standards which is often around $20-$30. But since you’ll rarely qualify for surveys and that they usually pay less than a dollar each, it will be a long wait to earn enough to those that $10.

Speak Up Surveys Problems

Wrong Demographics = No Surveys

Just because anyone around the world can join, doesn’t mean they’ll all have the same earning opportunities.

Companies want to survey specific people from targeted locations and demographics, and usually the targeted group is of people from the USA, Canada, Australia, and UK. If you’re someone from India for example, you definitely won’t get as many surveys as someone from the USA.

Only One Way To Earn

Aside from the sweepstakes and referral thing, taking surveys is the main way to earn. This wouldn’t be a bad thing if surveys are easy to qualify for and pay good, but they aren’t.

I love sites like these top “get-paid-to” sites that give you endless ways to earn. Surveys are generally for most people a big waste of time because you’ll rarely qualify, so having multiple things you can do to earn is a big plus.

Referral Program Is Limited

The maximum amount of referrals you can have is 10, you’ll earn $0.50 each which means that the maximum you can earn from referring others is $5. This is stupid and there are much better referral programs out there that are unlimited. I know a person who makes $2000-$3000 a month referring others for Swagbucks.

No Cash Payments

What the hell am I gonna do with a $10 Amazon gift card or some Dining Dough thing I’ve never even heard of? If you’re here trying to earn extra income online then I’m guessing you’re like me and you’d prefer CASH and not gift cards. If so then check out these top 6 survey sites paying with Paypal

Is Speak Up Surveys Worth Joining?

Although Speak Up Surveys appears to be scam-free, they’re really not offering you that many reasons to join. They only offer one way to earn, their referral program is very limited, and they don’t even pay you in cash but only gift cards.

Honestly I think you should join better sites like Swagbucks, Inbox Pays, and Cash Crate. that offer more ways to earn and you can get cold hard cash via Paypal that can be withdrawn to your bank account.

But all these are just extra income opportunities that won’t allow you to quit your job, if you want to kick your 9 to 5 to the curb and say goodbye to your boss, then check out my #1 Recommended Way of Making Money Online instead.
