This sounded too good to be true so I decided to check them out to see if I should be warning people about them.

What Is Perk TV? is a rewards website that offers a bunch of different apps where you can earn money by taking surveys, shopping online, doing puzzles, answering trivia questions, and watching videos with their Perk TV app which is what I’ll be focusing on in this review.

Perk TV is an app you can download to your Android or iOS device at the Google Play or Apple Store. After you’ve downloaded it you’d need to create an account with an email and password or by signing in to your Facebook account. From there you’ll be able to start earning.

How Does It Work?

In the Perk TV app you will see a bunch of categories like Celebrities, Lifestyle, Comedy, Sports, TV, Games, Movies, and more. Clicking on a category will bring you to a page with a bunch of videos. All you have to do is click a video to start earning.

Each video is about 1 or 2 minutes long and you’ll be paid 1 to 2 Perk Points for watching it.

Perk Points is basically electronic currency which can be redeemed for cash prizes, gift cards, or entering sweepstakes  to win cars, cash, and vacations.

How Much Are Perk Points Worth?

The exact value of Perk Points depends on what rewards you redeem them for. For example a $10 cash redemption via Paypal cost 15,000 points while a $10 Amazon gift card redemption only cost 10,000 points. Clearly they’re trying to encourage you to spend your points in certain ways.

So if you’re going with Paypal then 1500 points = $1 USD.

How Much Money Can You Make?

So let’s do the math here. Let’s say each video is 1 minute long and you earn 1 point, so that’s 60 videos watched and 60 points earned per hour. Assuming you’re redeeming these points for cash via Paypal then you’re looking at hourly earnings of just $0.04 USD per hour!

Tips and Hacks

Good news is you won’t actually have to sit there and watch all those videos. Once you’ve clicked a video it will start playing on it’s own, and new videos will keep playing automatically. So basically if you just get up and go do other things nobody will know, and you’ll just be earning money for doing nothing.

Once every hour or so a pop up will ask you “Are you still watching?” if you’re not there to say yes then the videos will stop. So just check in every now and then to make sure the videos are still running.

If you have multiple devices you can sign in to those devices and have these videos running simultaneously to stack your earnings, but you can only do a maximum of 5 devices. But even doing so you probably won’t make more than $25 or so per month.

It’s a good idea sign up for multiple extra income sites to increase your earnings. I recommend you check out my full list of Favorite “Get-Paid-To” Sites which are extra income sites that pay you to take surveys, play games, do offers, read emails, and more.

The Positives

  • Anyone can join and it’s free
  • Easy to watch videos
  • You can turn it on and walk away
  • Lots of payment options

The Negatives

  • Low income potential
  • You may not like watching trailers
  • Points have uneven value

Is Perk TV a Legit Income Opportunity?

It appears that Perk TV is a great way for you to earn a little extra money watching videos online which most people probably already do every single day. The biggest con is that it’s incredibly low paying, but fortunately nobody will know whether you’re really watching them or not so you can just let the videos run on their own while you go do other things.

My guess is you wouldn’t earn more than $10 or $20 per month with this app. I’d recommend you join multiple extra income sites to increase your income potential.

If you’re looking for an opportunity to make a full time online income then see my Top Work At Home Recommendation instead where your income potential is at least $1000+ per month.

Thanks for reading till the end and I hope you enjoyed the post, if you have any comments or questions I’d love to read them below in the comments section.

When You take a glance at this Perk TV App you will be a bit surprise at first. But there are 2 big issues here that You as a reviewer didn’t at least realized about it and chances are your review misleads your viewers.

First, let’s say I have a tapped useless Mobile phone and would prefer to dedicate it merely for watching Perk TV. Just think about it! My smartphone is supposed to be consumed my mobile data or Internet Connection whatsoever down the road, right?! .Do You think that it would be worth to get Max $10 or $20 per month? How much does it cost for Monthly internet traffic and its bandwidth consumption? what is gonna be happen on my 24 hours electricity consumption’s cost? I don’t think so this bunch of apps or programs could be able to make money for internet users at all.On the contrary,They may just take your Precious TIME.Personally, I think that is totally worthless.Besides! I am not quite sure that this sort of apps keep my privacy safe enough in right manner.
All in all,I am totally agree with your last recommendation in regard of Wealthy affiliate Platform and I think it’s worth to invest your valuable time on it. Thanks

Hello Kent, cool review, it’s the first time I’m seeing an app where I can actually sit and watch videos and make money from watching the videos. But I feel the income rate is too small and wouldn’t really worth the time even though I might not have to sit to watch the videos. I think there are other better opportunities out there and I can make more than this. I’ll check them out. Thanks is for the review

Very interesting. Thanks Kent. I have a smartphone so maybe I will just leave it running in the background while I do my exercises or whatever I’m doing throughout the day. I guess I’ll find out if I have to have the audio on the whole time but then I can just plug in a set of headphones and not put the headphones on my head.

It sounds to me like they get paid some amount for us to watch the videos kind of like how YouTube videos Pay people when people watch ads.

I will seriously check it out and see if leaving it running in the background is worth the $20 a month or whatever.

Also on your pop-up window I wanted to let you know that neither of your options applied to me. I like free money of course but I was not interested in the GPS thing at the time so if there was an option like “not right now thanks maybe later” I would have enjoyed your website experience a bit more. The whole pop-up experience kind of put me at odds with myself because of course I like free money but I just have a lot going on right now and I don’t have time to look into the GPS thing. But of course other than that it seems like you have a very cool website going on and I will probably be back in the future.

Hey man, sorry the pop up bothered you. Thanks for the suggestions I may change it to a different wording.

Ooh very cool app ! There are so many apps like this out there, that promises you to make like 50$ in a day. Perk TV on the other hand seems legit as it doesn’t pay so much so fast. I think it’s great for some extra cash on the side if you don’t have anything to do or just play the videos in the back ground while you’re doing something else. I think I’ll have a go at it 😀
