Palm Research is another website that claims to pay you for taking surveys, participating in focus groups, and reviewing products. Your opinions are used for market research and this data is used by various companies to help shape products and services in the future. Your time is compensated with real money.
I was curious to know how much you can actually earn on this site. You may be wondering if Palm Research is a scam? How much do you get paid per survey? How do they pay you?
In this Palm Research review I’ll go over everything that I discovered about them so you can get a good idea of what they’re all about so you can avoid wasting your time.
By the way, if you’re interested in making income online check out my Favorite “Get-Paid-To” Sites which are sites that also provide paid surveys, but in addition you can also earn by playing games, watching videos, opening emails, and a bunch of other things.

What Is Palm Research?
Palm Research started up back in 2009, they are a market research company based in San Diego, California.
Basically they’re what I call an extra income website. These sites pay you a little bit of money for doing something that requires pretty much no skill like taking surveys and sharing your honest opinions on various topics.
A Palm Research membership is 100% free and they accept international members.
Just register for an account with your name, location, email, and create a password. Once you’ve confirmed your email you’ll be brought to the main user dashboard where you can see all the available surveys for you to take.
There’s also a “Profile Survey” section which wasn’t available for my area, but I’m guess they’re just basic demographic questions for them to know you better so they can match you with the right surveys.
How To Earn At Palm Research?
The main way to earn at Palm Research is by taking surveys.
In the “Open Surveys” section of your main hub you’ll see the list of available surveys with some info such as how the survey pays, the estimated time to complete it, and also how many times you can complete it per day.
The good thing about Palm Research is that you’ll have daily surveys, this is unlike many other similar survey sites where they only give you surveys 2-3 times per week.
These daily surveys appear to pay around $0.50 to $1.00 each and take an average of 10 to 15 minutes to complete. If you do them everyday then it could rack up to some pretty nice extra income.
However, having available surveys to take doesn’t guarantee you earnings. When you start the survey you’ll have to answer a few screening questions first to see if you fit the criteria set out by the survey creator, if you don’t qualify then you won’t get to earn.
You can try another survey or try again the next day, but all this unpaid time with those screeners doesn’t sound good to me!
In rare events Palm Research may also email you with additional opportunities such as participating in focus groups and receiving products to test and write reviews on. These tasks usually take a few hours to do, but they typically pay $75+ each time.
Refer a Friend
Palm Research also has a refer-a-friend program where you can earn 10% of what your referrals earn from surveys.
Just take your referral link and promote Palm Research to your friends, make sure they sign up under your referral link for you to be eligible for referral earnings.
So how much can you earn monthly doing these surveys? The short answer is… very little.
The problem is that you have to qualify for the surveys, this depends on your demographics and whether you fit the survey’s criteria. Some people will qualify more often, others will qualify less often. But from my own experience you’ll try a bunch of surveys only to never qualify, it’s a huge disappointment.
Many members report earning about $10 every couple of months, so don’t quit your day job just yet!
A good idea might be to join multiple extra income sites to increase the overall amount of income you can earn.
How Does Palm Research Pay You?
Unlike many other similar sites that pay you with points, Palm Research pays you with cash directly whenever you complete surveys and other tasks.
Once you’ve earned a minimum of $10.00 you’ll be able to request a cash out via PayPal.
- Cost $0 to join
- International members accepted
- Daily surveys
- Pays with PayPal
- No sign up bonus, unlike Swagbucks which gives you $5.00 for signing up
- Hard to qualify for surveys
- Some members reported that their accounts were banned for dumb reasons such as doing too many surveys per day
- Low income potential
Is Palm Research a Scam?
No, Palm Research appears to be a legit survey site that offers you a chance to take paid surveys. However, the income potential is extremely low and a lot of your time will be wasted on those darn screeners which almost seem impossible to get past.
Once in a blue moon you might qualify for a few surveys, but they only pay $0.50 to $1.00 for 15 minutes of your time, so you’re still making about $2 to $3 per hour at best. But the biggest problem remains that you’ll need to qualify for the surveys, this is a pain in the ass and it’s the same with nearly all survey sites.
That’s why I recommend you Join “Get-Paid-To” Sites where they offer paid tasks that you don’t need to qualify for to earn. These tasks are also more fun to do such as watching videos, playing games, opening emails, and more. They have paid surveys too if that’s what you want, but you’ll still need to qualify for them first.
But no matter what type of extra income site you join, these things won’t replace your 9 to 5 income, they simply pay too low.
If you’re looking to kick your day job to the curb I suggest you see my Top Work At Home Recommendation which is a top-rated training program that teaches people how to build a blog just like the one you’re on now, and make good money from it! It’s newbie friendly, they show you everything you need to know from A to Z.
My top recommendation definitely works, it’s the same strategy I currently use to earn $1000+ a month with this blog. But it does require lots of hard work, time, and effort, so if you’re expecting to make $1000 your first week then don’t bother.
That’s it for my Palm Research review, as always if you have any reviews of your own about them I’d like to hear about them down below in the comments.
I’m a regular person who started this website in Sept 2017 to help people in making money online. I envision my own success from helping you become successful. My goal is to help you create a consistent online income, let’s make that money!
