So is OpinionSquare a scam or a legit site that pays you rewards for taking surveys? How much can you earn? How do you get paid? Keep reading to find out in this OpinionSquare review below.
Want To Make Extra Income Online But
Tired of Running Into Scams?
Type: Paid surveys
Membership Price: FREE
OpinionSquare is a surveys site owned by a market research company called TMRG, they gather the opinions from everyday people like you and me and in turn award you with points which can be traded in for actual rewards like gift cards and kitchen appliances. They appear to be scam free, but I still recommend these better sites over them.
The Details of How OpinionSquare Works
How To Sign Up For OpinionSquare?
You can sign up if you’re in the USA or Canada. Other countries can sign up too but maybe not be able to access all the rewards. All you have to do is fill out the sign up form with your name, email, date of birth, and some other info. Then you’ll have to download their OpinionSquare software to get started.
Download The OpinionSquare Software
One of the steps of signing up is that you have to download the OpinionSquare software. I don’t like that they require you to download a software, I mean who knows if it has any viruses right? They say it doesn’t have any malware or anything but you can’t be too careful.
If you’re paranoid about viruses and don’t want to download anything then check out these top “get-paid-to” sites I recommend for making extra online income instead where no downloading is necessary to start earning.
Surveys on OpinionSquare works similar to other survey sites. The surveys are supplied by 3rd party companies who are looking for opinions from their target demographics. Each month you’ll receive 3-4 survey invitations via email and if you qualify you’ll be able to complete the survey and earn points or tokens that can be traded in for gift cards or merchandise.
With the tokens you collected by taking surveys you can use them to play games where you earn points and exchange them for prizes such as home appliances, electronics, gift cards, and a bunch of other things in their rewards website which contain over 20,000 items.
Watch TV and Go Online
You have the option to opt in to share your TV watching habits to earn more rewards. If you surf the internet a lot you can opt in to share your browsing habits as well, to do this you’ll need to download a web browser application. By sharing your TV and internet habits and patterns, you can not only earn additional rewards but make it more likely to receive more survey invitations.
Every time you do a survey you’ll be entered into a big sweepstakes where you have the chance of winning $100,000. You’ll also get the “instant win game link” where you’ll have a chance to win smaller prizes of $50, $2500, or $5000. They guarantee that at least 2 people will win $50 each month. This is basically a lottery and chances are you and I aren’t going to win anything!
How Do You Get Paid?
You can get paid as soon as you hit the minimum amount of points. For a $5 Amazon E-card it will take a minimum of 1500 points, for the $10 gift certificate for Amazon, Walmart, Kmart, and other stores, you’ll need at least 2500 points. There’s no Paypal payments so that’s too bad if that’s what you wanted.
If you’d like to turn your points into cash directly with Paypal, then forget OpinionSquare check out these survey sites that pay with Paypal instead.
You Have To Download Software…
When you’re signing up and it prompts you to download some unknown software into your computer in order to get started, it’s a pretty annoying thing to encounter and OpinionSquare is the first site I encountered that does that. They say that no malware or virus will be present, but you’ll be taking their word for it.
No Paypal Payments
Sure there are over 20,000 items in the rewards page of OpinionSquare, but what if you want good ol’ fashion cold hard cash that you can pay for your phone or gas bill with? Gift cards are nice, but they’re not cash and some people like myself don’t shop online often so gift cards are useless. If you want paypal payments it’s best to join these Paypal friendly sites intead.
Not Paid For Referrals
OpinionSquare encourages you to email your friends/family and invite them to join as well, the problem is that they don’t compensate you for it. Unlike other sites like Swagbucks which pays you 10% of your referrals earnings. With OpinionSquare you get to promote them to your friends, but you won’t get paid anything for it which sucks.
Not Serious Income
Obviously if you’ve read up to this point you’ll already realize that this is not going to replace your full time job. This is just something to play around with in your spare time and maybe earn a few extra bucks for fun. Maybe someone out there in the world will one day swoop up that $100,000 sweepstakes prize, but it’s probably not going to be you or me.
Is OpinionSquare a Legit Opportunity?
OpinionSquare appears to be legit, I have seen many users who reported they’ve been paid multiple times. They are an okay extra income site, but they come with annoying problems like having to download a software, not having Paypal cash payment options, and not being paid to refer others. Overall they’re scam free but I’d recommend these better extra income sites over them.
