OnePoll is a survey site that lets you earn cash for sharing your views and opinions on various topics. Companies out there want to know what you think in order to improve the quality of their products and services, and they are willing to pay you for it.
Most online survey sites that I’ve encountered online are legit, but pay very little, for many people this is fine as they’re only looking for something fun to do and not to make a full time income from it.
In this OnePoll review I’ll cover everything you need to know about them. Is OnePoll a scam? How much can you earn? How do they pay? What’s a better way to earn money online? I’ll answer all these below, let’s get started!
By the way, if you like the idea of earning extra income online then also check out “get-paid-to” sites like Swagbucks where there are more ways to earn such as by taking surveys, completing offers, playing games, watching videos, shopping, and more.

What Is OnePoll?
OnePoll is a market research company based in the UK, they’ve been around since 2005 and have offices in Filton, Bristol.
They’ve partnered up with various companies across the UK to find people like you and me to take their surveys, the views and opinions gathered are then used for market research purposes. For your time you’re paid a cash reward.
How To Join OnePoll?
Membership is free and they accept sign ups from most countries around the world. But in some countries they may not need more people and so if you try to sign up you’ll get a message that says they’re not taking in more people at that time, but you can try again later.
To join all you have to do is fill out a sign up form with your name and email address. After confirming you email you’ll need to fill out some more stuff like age, gender, education, income, etc.
After you’ve finished the sign up process they credit your account with a £2.50 sign up bonus. From there you can check your dashboard for any new surveys that may become available to you.
Doing Paid Online Surveys
There are new surveys added daily on a first come first serve basis. You’ll have to log in to check your dashboard every now and then to see if any surveys pop up. There may be 2 or 3 surveys everyday, but if you missed them then that’s too bad.
Surveys are very easy to do, they’re just basically multiple choice questions you have to answer. Don’t make stuff up though, because if they find any inconsistencies they’ll ban you and keep whatever money you’ve earned.
Each survey typically only takes 5-10 minutes to do and pay £0.25 to £1.
Warning! Getting Kicked Out of Surveys
Just because you qualify for and started a survey doesn’t guarantee that you’ll finish it and get paid. Surveys have a specific quota and once it’s filled the survey is closed, whoever is still filling it out gets kicked out with nothing!
I’ve found many other people on forums who have this complaint. The frustrating thing is you could be halfway or more into the survey and be told that the survey has closed. This is unfair but that’s one of the biggest reasons I don’t like to make my money online doing surveys.
I rather make money on “get-paid-to” sites like Swagbucks where they offer other ways to earn besides surveys. Earn by doing cash offers, visiting websites, trying new games, watching videos, and endless other tasks where you won’t get kicked out.
Warning! This Is Beer Money Only!
Most surveys are paying £0.25 to £1 (usually on the lower end) and even if you receive 2-3 surveys a day it’s still not enough to add to anything significant at the end of the month.
How many surveys you qualify for and complete depends on your demographic stats and whether it matches what market research companies are looking for. Some people earn more than others, but generally speaking most people shouldn’t expect to earn more than £10 to £20 per month.
If you’re looking for a serious full time online income, I recommend you to see my Top Work At Home Recommendation where I’ll show you what I personally do to make $1000+ per month online.
How Does OnePoll Pay You?
You get paid your cash earnings via either bank transfer or Paypal. You can also get paid by check if you’re from the UK.
Probably one of the worst things about OnePoll is the high payout threshold of £40, other survey sites like Swagbucks pays you via Paypal once you’ve earned just $25 which is about £20.
Given the low paying nature of surveys, it’s going to take you a LONG time to reach that payout threshold. Yeah they start you off with £2.50 but that isn’t much, you’ll still have to earn another £37.50 and most surveys pay under £1 so that’s a long way to go.
Some people have reported that it took them 6 months or more to reach that £40 payout!
- Doesn’t cost anything to join
- Anything around the world can sign up
- Pays with Paypal
- No other way to earn besides surveys
- Very low paying
- Possibility of getting kicked off surveys while still doing it due to quota being filled
- High £40 cash out minimum
Is OnePoll a Scam or Legit?
OnePoll appears to be a legit survey site, but there’s nothing special about them and there are much better sites to join.
The biggest problems I find is their £40 cash out minimum, this is way too high and it could possibly take you 6 months or more to reach that. I’ve also found reports from other people who said that as they approached the £40 payout they got less and less survey opportunities, and the surveys they did get were lower paying.
But most people seem to be getting paid eventually, but I still don’t recommend them because I just cannot overlook the high payout threshold.
Better Ways To Make Money Online
Survey sites like OnePoll only provide you with paid surveys, but it’s better to join “get-paid-to” sites like Swagbucks because they offer you plenty of other paid activities. You can earn by signing up for other websites, playing new games, trying new apps, watching videos, and much more.
If you’re trying to make a living doing these things, don’t even bother, it’s just not possible to earn enough when you’re making maybe $1 an hour! But fortunately there are ways to make a REAL part time or full time income online if that’s what you’re seeking.
If you’re looking for a job-replacing type of income, a legit opportunity to quit your job and work for yourself, I highly recommend you see my Top Work At Home Recommendation where I’ll show you how to make $1000+ per month by creating websites/blogs.
My top recommendation does require hard work and effort to be successful, and it’s definitely NOT quick and easy money. But it’s a 100% legit business model that many people are using to earn an income on the internet. Anyone can learn it and it’s very suitable for the average person to get into.
So that’s my 2 cents on OnePoll, give me your opinions and questions if you have any in the comment section below.
