My Survey Savvy Review: Scam Or Legit Paying Survey Site?

paid survey site for sharing opinions

Name: Survey Savvy
Type: Paid survey site
Membership Price: Free to join
My Rating: 2.3 out of 5

We all have our opinions, some like to keep it to themselves while others do the opposite. But one thing that I think both sides can agree upon is getting paid to have our opinions heard sounds good.

That’s exactly what survey sites like Survey Savvy do, they pay you for giving your 2 cents. In my Survey Savvy review, whether it’s a scam or a legit paying survey site will be revealed.

Various companies want to gather the views of their target audience, and they do this by sending out survey invites to participants who fit the company’s target demographic. A survey usually consists of questions about your lifestyle and habits, and you get paid after you completed filling it out.

Being a participant is easy and is a viable way to earn some extra coin every month, but in no way does it mean you can quit your job to do surveys full time. Survey sites are easy but the pay is too low, and the common issue is you won’t qualify for that many, and it’s a big waste of time for those looking to make a consistent full time or part time income online.

Intro To Survey Savvy

get paid to do online surveys

Survey Savvy pays you to do online surveys, it’s totally free to join and anyone in the world can join to start earning. They are an old company that’s been around since 1999. If anything this is the first reassurance that they may be legit, as scams don’t tend to last very long. They work very similarly to another survey site called Survey Junkie.

Their parent company is Luth Research LLC, based in San Diego California they have been doing market research since 1977. The president of Luth Research LLC is Roseanne Luth.

They’re what I call a “pure” survey site, meaning surveys is the main way to earn on the site. I prefer get-paid-to (GPT) sites instead where in addition to paid surveys you can also earn by watching videos, playing games, shopping, signing up for offers, and much more.

Earning Money: How Does It All Work?

After you’ve joined, you will be prompted to answer a few questions about yourself such as your age, income level, where you live, and some other stuff about your lifestyle. Companies want to send paid surveys to their targeted audience from a specific demographic, and these questions help them send surveys to the right people.

Survey Invitations Via Email

You’ll be notified by email if a paying survey is available for someone in your demographic. Each survey pays differently, but generally the longer the survey the higher paying it is. Typically a survey will pay around $0.50 to $2 and takes 5 to 20 minutes to complete. You may find other ones on the internet that claims to pay $14 or more per survey, but there’s a high chance that they’re lying and are a scam.

There’s no guarantee on how many paying surveys you’ll receive per month, it really depends on your profile and how much demand there is. But the good news is you can make a guaranteed $5 a month by using something called SavvyConnect.

SavvyConnect – Earn $5 a Month

SavvyConnect is a window-based software you can download and install on your desktop or mobile computer. This software monitors your internet browsing behavior, this information of your personality and interests are then used to determine whether a paying survey is the right fit for you or not.

So basically by installing SavvyConnect, you will earn a guaranteed $5 a month, plus you will be more likely to be invited to complete a paying survey. But the question is, are you really comfortable sharing all your browsing history with some online survey site for $5 a month? Unfortunately only US residents are qualified to receive the $5 a month.

Contests & Sweepstakes

From time to time they may run special contests and promotions where you give you a chance to win prize money. Some recent contests such as the Superstar and Jingle contest required members to submit a video, and the first prize winner took home $500.

Referring Friends

There is a 2-tier referral program at Survey Savvy. What this means is not only will you earn money from your direct referrals, but you’ll also make money from your referral’s referrals too! Imagine if you have 100 referrals, and each of them have 100 referrals?

I mean, it’s not the easiest thing in the world to get 100 people to sign up, but any income you earn will be completely passive, and you can keep earning from your referrals even if you’re not doing surveys yourself.

How Do You Get Paid?

Many survey sites have a minimum payout threshold, which means you’ll need to earn a minimum amount of money before they pay you, typically this is around $20 to $50.

The good news is that Survey Savvy’s payout threshold is only $1 which is one of the lowest I’ve ever seen, but bad news is the only payout method is via check mailed to you.

Check really sucks, it’s damn slow to get delivered by mail, and once you receive it you’ll have to cash it in the bank which takes another few weeks to clear. I really like these top 6 survey sites where they pay via Paypal and many other payment options, this means you’ll receive your payout in a matter of days, not weeks.

  • Anyone in the world can join and participate
  • They’ve been paying people for surveys since 1999
  • They have a 2-tier referral program which means potential to earn more
  • They have an A+ rating on the Better Business Bureau

  • Many users say that they don’t qualify for very many surveys
  • SavvyConnect is not available to non-US residents
  • They still pay by check only which takes weeks to get mailed to you
  • Some users have complained about delays in getting their money

Final Thoughts: Scam Or Legit?

In my opinion they are definitely a legit operation and not a scam. They have been around for a long time, have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, and despite a few users reporting some delays and issues at the time of payout, for the most part it seems they do pay. But this doesn’t mean I recommend them at all, I think all survey sites are a big waste of time.

The biggest issue with survey sites is that they’re too low paying to begin with, but then on top of that you’ll rarely even qualify for them. I’m also not a fan of Survey Savvy’s payout method of mailing a check, waiting 4-6 weeks to get my money? No thank you.

Join Get-Paid-To Sites Instead

Rather than joining survey sites, why not join get-paid-to sites instead where you can earn doing things that are more enjoyable like playing games and watching videos?

My all-time favorite get-paid-to site is Swagbucks (read review) because they have the best ways to earn and they pay via Paypal, but I also recommend these other top sites as well.
