MobileXpression Review – Scam Or Legit Mobile Survey Rewards?

tracking software on mobile device

Hello reader, and welcome to another extra online income site review. MobileXpression is a bit different, all you have to do to earn is download a software onto your mobile phone or tablet. The software tracks your internet usage and patterns for market research companies.

Basically the biggest problem with them is that their software messes up your phone and quite a few people have run into problems when redeeming cash rewards. But some others have reported to have cashed out multiple times, so it appears the reviews are mixed. Honestly I recommend you join these better sites instead where there’s higher earning potential.

I’d say that MobileXpression is not a scam, they’re a legit site that do pay you rewards to track your internet habits. But what sounds like easy money in fact comes with many problems which I’ll discuss in detail below in this MobileXpression review.

MobileXpression Review

Name: MobileXpression
Type: Mobile tracking for rewards
Membership Price: Free To Join
My Rating: 2.8 out of 5

earn cash gift cards for mobile tracking research

I gave MobileXpression a rating of 2.8 out of 5 because aside from a few angry complaints they do seem semi legit, I wouldn’t call them a scam but the earning potential of this site is really low and you won’t make very much. Their software also seem to cause a lot of issues with people’s devices.

Overall they’re not really worth the trouble. If you’re looking for extra income I’d recommend you join better sites like Swagbucks instead where there’s more ways to earn.

How Does MobileXpression Work?

Signing Up & Installing Software

The only thing you really have to do is install their software onto your mobile device and just go on about your day normally. Their software will track your internet browsing habits and patterns, and you get paid for doing nothing…sort of.

Doing basically nothing for rewards is fun, but what’s not fun is having your phone slowing down or freezing because of some annoying software, battery drainage, or various privacy concerns. I’ll discuss more of these problems later on.

Rewards & Payments

After the first week you’ll receive a $5 Amazon gift card reward. Each week thereafter you’ll receive a token to enter weekly sweepstakes draws where various prizes are up for grabs like TVs, kitchen sets, iPods, and more. Honestly I really dislike sweepstakes because they’re just a luck-based lottery draw and 99.9% of us aren’t going to win anything.

MobileXpression Problems

Privacy Issues

MobileXpression says they take privacy concerns very seriously and don’t monitor your phone conversations or who you call. That being said you can only take their word for it, and if you’re someone who’s paranoid about being watched all the time then MobileXpression isn’t for you.

Slows Down Your Mobile Device

MobileXpression says that for Android users it shouldn’t affect your device’s performance, for iPhone and iPad users it may slow down the internet a bit. I have also read reports from people saying that it slows down their device so badly that everything just froze and they had to reboot it and uninstall their software to get everything working again.

Battery Drain

Many people have reported that having MobileXpression’s software run on your device uses up a lot more battery. This make sense because this software is constantly running on your device, tracking your internet browsing habits and sending this data back to MobileXpression.

Uses Up Your Data

The software installed onto your device is constantly running in the background and communicating with MobileXpression sending information back and forth about your usage. If you’re using WIFI with unlimited data then this wouldn’t be a problem, but if you’re using pay-as-you-go mobile data then this thing will definitely use up your data!

Low Earning Potential

After that initial $5 Amazon gift card from the first week you’re just doing this for a chance to win some sweepstakes. Doesn’t seem like all the trouble is worth some lotto draw.

No Paypal Payments

There’s also no Paypal option so you can only use that $5 on Amazon to buy stuff online. I don’t know about you but I much rather have Paypal payments because that’s virtual fiat currency I can spend however I like. Locked Accounts

You also have to worry about whether you’ll actually get paid or not. Reading user reviews on forums I have found about half of the people saying they got paid, while the other half said they run into problems or had their accounts locked and shut down. So it seems you’re running the risk of having your habits tracked for potentially no payout. In my opinion that is a lot of trouble for a measly $5 gift card.

Final Verdict: Is MobileXpression a Scam?

I can’t call them a complete scam since they’re free to join and there’s some people getting paid, but there’s enough problems about them that I do not recommend you join them.

The biggest concern is how you’re giving away your privacy and potentially end up overusing on mobile data to earn their measly $5 Amazon gift card and sweepstakes where 99.9% of us don’t win anything. If you want to make money on your mobile device there are much better sites to do it at.

My favorite site is Swagbucks (read my review) which is a “get-paid-to” site. You earn points “swagbucks” doing things like take surveys, watch advertisements, try new games, download apps, searching the web, and much more. You then convert those points to cash via Paypal, they have gift cards too if you want those.

If you’re okay with earning beer money then these kinds of reward sites are okay, but none will make you a full time income. If you want to make a living online from home then you need to learn how to Build Your Own Online Business with a website/blog.
