What Is ProOpinion?

ProOpinion is a survey site that is driven by business professionals who are looking to do market research and collect the opinions of people around the globe, for your time you’re paid a cash reward.

Their parent company is Survey Sampling International which is a market research company that has been around since 1977. But just because they’ve been around for a while doesn’t mean they’re any good.

Currently they hold an F rating with the BBB (Better Business Bureau) and have hundreds of user complaints. Most complaints are about frozen accounts, owed money, and poor customer service.

Not sure I’d want to join a site that’s operated under such a poorly rated company!

Getting Started

If you’d like to join ProOpinion you can do so for free, they accept new members internationally so all is welcome.

You can either sign up with your Facebook or Linkedin account, or you can just enter your name, email, and answer some basic demographic questions like your occupation, race, education, rent or own, etc.

You’ll have to then confirm your email, then you can log in to the ProOpinion platform. You will need to fill out your profile so that they can get to know you better and will be able to send you surveys that fit your personality and demographic.

From there you’re ready to start earning.

Take a Survey

After you’ve joined ProOpinion they will email you whenever there is a survey available for you. Or you can just log in and click the “Take a Survey” button on your user dashboard. If no surveys are available then you’ll just have to check back later.

ProOpinion pay with points instead of cash, but you can trade those points in for cash or gift cards later on.

Each point = $0.01 so if you’ve earned 100 points then you’ve earned $1.00.

Online surveys typically pay around $0.25 to $2 and take 10 to 20 minutes to complete. Starting a survey doesn’t guarantee you’ll get to complete it and get paid, there may be a short screening questionnaire at the beginning to see if you qualify for the survey or not. In my experience qualifying for online surveys happens only after many many many tries!

You should just check out my Favorite “Get-Paid-To” Sites instead where you can earn not only by taking surveys, but also by completing marketing offers, playing games, watching videos, reading emails, and more.

How Does ProOpinion Pay You?

You’ll be able to withdraw once you’ve earned at least 1,000 points ($10.00).

Payment options include PayPal or gift cards from Amazon, App store, and iTunes. You could also choose to donate your points to the American Red Cross charity.

How Much Can You Really Earn?

The short answer is… about tree fiddy ($3.50), and I’m not even kidding!

The problem is that most of the time you won’t even qualify for the survey. But they don’t tell you that right away, they take a good couple of minutes making you answer screening questions, then you’ll see that dreaded “This is not the right survey for you” message which can be extremely frustrating.

Even if you do qualify for the survey and complete it, most surveys pay around $1.00 for 15 minutes of work, that means you’ll be earning $4.00 per hour which is still below the minimum wage. Add in the unpaid time you spend trying to qualify for a survey, and you’ll be making $1.00 per hour if lucky!

This is why I recommend you join Favorite “Get-Paid-To” Sites instead where most tasks have no qualifications in order to start earning. You can earn watching videos, playing games, doing marketing offers, shopping, and more.

The Positives

  • Free to join
  • International members welcome
  • Pays with Paypal
  • Low withdraw threshold of only $10

The Negatives

  • Not enough opportunities to earn
  • Hard to qualify for surveys
  • Low income potential
  • Many user complaints about frozen accounts and money owed

Is ProOpinion a Scam?

No. ProOpinion is not a scam, but it’s run under a parent company that has very poor user rating.

Even on SurveyPolice.com this survey site only has a rating of 2 out of 5 which is below average. Most people who complain say they rarely qualify for surveys, while others complain about accounts being deleted for no reason.

In my opinion there is no reason to take your chance with ProOpinion when there are so many better survey sites out there. I highly recommend you see my Favorite “Get-Paid-To” Sites which are all highly rated and offer many different ways to earn!

However, if you’re seeking to make a substantial income online you shouldn’t be looking at survey sites and other similar things, they simply pay too low for the amount of effort put in.

If you want to make a full time income online then see my Top Work At Home Recommendation which is a #1 rated training program that teaches people on how to build a passive income stream with a blogging business.

My top recommendation is real and legit, but it is not a get-rich-quick scheme. A blogging business takes time and effort to build, but if you’re serious about starting your own online business and making a living doing it then this is an opportunity you wouldn’t want to miss.

That’s all I have for now in this ProOpinion review. Let me know in the comments below if you have any questions about them or if you have your own experience with them that you’d like to share.
