I don’t remember when but someone once told me that Paid To Read Email is a scam and not legit, so I checked them out and I was surprised at what I found so I decided to write this review.
In my research into this site I have found very little negative things to say about them. You can never be too careful these days, there are plenty of scams in the make-money-online industry.
In short, Paid To Read Email is one of the legit paid-to sites out there, similar to Swagbucks (read review). Overall Swagbucks is still my favorite paid-to site, but Paid To Read Email is a pretty close second.
In this Paid To Read Email review I’ll cover everything you’d need to know about how to earn on the site, how they pay, some pros and cons, and whether they’re worth joining.
Although Paid To Read Email is a pretty okay GPT site, I’d recommend that you also check out my list of top GPT sites that in my opinion are slightly better in terms of ways to earn, payout speed, and other factors.

Intro – Paid To Read Email Review
Type: Get-paid-to (GPT) site
Membership Price: Free To Join
My Rating: 2.6 out of 5
So I gave Paid To Read Email a rating score of 2.6 out of 5, this is GOOD in my book, I’m a harsh critic! But I have reviewed much better paid-to sites, and the my favorite top 2 that I usually recommend is Swagbucks (read review) and Inbox Pays (read review) due to their many ways to earn and fast/easy payouts.
A big thing that I look for in a paid-to site is how easy it is to get your money, I hate sites that have high payout thresholds and slow payment methods like still mailing a check.
With Paid To Read Email the payout speed is probably it’s best feature. You only need to have earned $15 to request a payout via Paypal, which is my favorite payment processor.
How To Earn At Paid To Read Email?
As the website’s name implies, the main way to earn money on this site is by reading emails. You get the emails sent to your personal email inbox or you can just log in to your account’s user dashboard to read them.
Each email you read can earn you $0.01 to $0.10, and you can choose how much each email is worth. When you choose the highest value it expires faster. At the lowest values of $0.01-$0.02 you should have at least a couple of days to read them before they expire.
Surveys are not provided to you by Paid To Read Email themselves, but rather a 3rd party companies that seek the opinions of people like you.
The main problem with surveys is having to first take a few minutes to do the screening survey (unpaid) to see if you qualify, if you don’t then you can try again but you won’t earn anything. If you do qualify, the actual paid survey usually takes 10-30 minutes and pays between $0.25 to $2.50.
Doing Cash Offers
If you don’t know what cash offers are, they’re basically things that ask you to sign up or participate on a website. They can both be free or paid. So a free offer could for example ask you to sign up for a newsletter, a sweepstake, or download a game or an app. These only require you to enter you email and other info and pays $0.25 to $2.50.
The paid offers require you to hand over your credit card info or spend some cash. For example you’ll have to sign up for a free trial or buy something at a website. This obviously involves more engagement, so it pays much higher at $2.50 to $10.
Technically the free trial is free to do, but only if you cancel before the trial ends. So if you plan on doing free trial offers, then make sure you cancel before each trial ends or your card will start to get charged.
Points are basically virtual currency, they can be converted to cash in your user dashboard once you earned a minimum of 50 points.
To earn points you just click on the “points” tab, you earn points by completing simple tasks like commenting on a blog, or categorizing pictures.
$3 Sign Up Bonus
They do give you free money as an incentive to join, they’ll start off your new account with a $3 balance. This is alright, but I prefer Swagbucks (read review) where they give you $5 instead. Check out these other sites where they also give you a $5 sign up bonus.
More Ways To Earn…
Unfortunately they don’t just give you free money to go shopping, that would be too good to be true. But you can earn a percentage of what you spend in stores back, it’s called cash back.
Another unfortunately thing is that Paid To Read Email only have a very small list of stores available so you may not find the store you normally shop at. If you’re looking for a good cash back website then you should check out Swagbucks (read review) and Inbox Pays (read review) instead where they have a lot more stores.
Referring Others To Join
As the saying goes, “wealthy people don’t work, they supervise.” The best way to earn money on these paid-to sites is actually not to do the tasks yourself, but earn money off the labor of others.
By referring other people to Paid To Read Email you’ll earn 15% of what your referrals earn for life. Just take your unique referral link and promote it to your blog, social media, friends/family, etc. Anyone who joins under your link becomes your referral.
How Does Pay To Read Email Pay You?
As previously mentioned, you get paid via Paypal once your earnings have accumulated to at least $15.
One bad thing is they do make you wait about 15 days to process your payout the FIRST time you request a payout. Subsequent times will take only a few days at most. They don’t do this to torture you, this is done to prevent fraud.
Only Small Income
You’ll receive a few emails a day, but that won’t add up to very much earnings. The surveys are okay but they’re hard to qualify for and they don’t pay much to being with. My point is, don’t expect to make any more than $10 to $50 per month.
Paid To Read Email and all other similar paid-to sites are low paying, they’re not going to make you rich. If you’d like to learn how to build a profitable blogging business with full time income potential, check out my #1 recommended way of making money online.
Is Paid To Read Email a Scam?
Although the earning potential is quite poor, Paid To Read Email is a legit way to earn a small income online. I especially love their low $15 payouts via Paypal, and their $3 sign up bonus is great too.
But in the end there are better paid-to sites out there with more ways to earn, quicker and easier payouts, and bigger sign up bonuses, so why not join those ones instead? The top 2 paid-to sites I often recommend are Swagbucks (read review) and Inbox Pays (read review.) Both are currently offering a $5 sign up bonus.
If a small income is all you need then also check out these other great paid-to sites.
Reading emails, surveys, offers, and all these other things are never going to make you rich. If you want to work from home you need something with full time income potential like my #1 recommended way of earning money online.
