Some people just can’t keep their opinions to themselves, if that’s you then you’ll love LegerWeb. They are a survey site for Canadians and people in the USA that pays you for your opinions. You can join and take surveys to earn cash or air mile rewards. But there’s many problems with this site, and I don’t recommend them.
LegerWeb is not a scam, they offer legit paid surveys, so what’s the problem? As with most other survey sites the usual issues come up such as getting screened out of surveys midway through, not getting enough surveys, and some other things I’ll go over later in this LegerWeb review.
If you’re a USA or Canadian citizen there are much better sites to earn extra income at, Swagbucks is the one I usually recommend to people.
Type: Paid surveys
Membership Price: Free To Join
My Rating: 2.4 out of 5
I gave LegerWeb a rating of 2.4 out of 5, they’re okay for a survey site but there’s nothing that blows you out of the water. What I like most is that they offer many payment options such as Paypal, Visa prepaid cards, check, and air miles. Their surveys also pay quite well, you get $1-$2 for doing a 10-15 minute survey.
But the biggest problem is that you won’t earn very much. This site only offer surveys so it’s really limiting, I suggest you check out sites like Swagbucks where there are over 8 different ways to earn.
Making Money – How Does LegerWeb Work?
Who Can Sign Up?
LegerWeb is a survey site exclusive for Canadians and people in the USA only. If you’re living in one of those two countries then you can sign up, just enter your email, date of birth, and what state/province you live in on the form.
Once you have signed up you’ll have to fill out some profile surveys and answer questions about your age, income, education, etc. this help them know you better so they can send you the appropriate surveys for your demographics.
Surveys pay around $1-$2 and they only take about 10-15 minutes to do and complete. After joining and setting up your profile you are ready to take surveys. LegerWeb will send you an email whenever there’s a survey that suits you.
Beware though, starting a survey doesn’t mean you’ll get to finish it and get paid. You’ll have to answer preliminary screening questions, and most of the time you’ll be told you don’t qualify.
You can also earn by getting other people to join LegerWeb. Do you have any friends or family members who may be interested in taking paid surveys? Every friend you invite will earn you $1, but the stipulation is that your friend has to complete their profile and at least one survey before you get paid.
LegerWeb hold a monthly sweepstakes where winners are drawn randomly on the first Tuesday of each month. You earn entries by taking surveys during specific periods of the month. The prizes are worth $2500 and they include cash, air miles, and iPads. This all sound hunky dory but fact of the matter is the majority aren’t going to win anything.
Your earning potential at LegerWeb is very low, it’s unlikely you’re earn any more than $20 a month. How much you earn depends on how often you receive surveys and qualify for them. This is why you can earn more at Swagbucks, because there are endless ways to earn and most of them you don’t need to qualify for.
You have to rack up at least $20 before they’ll send you a payment. If you want to get paid in cash you’ll have the option of getting paid via Paypal, Visa prepaid cards, or check. You could also opt to receive 20 AirMiles or 250 Aeroplan credits.
The cash options aren’t bad, Paypal is obviously good because they’re the gold standard in online payments. The check option is good for old-fashioned people, but it just takes 4-8 weeks to get mailed out and that’s just too freaking long to wait for a mere $20 payment in my opinion.
If you like Paypal then also see These Other Extra Income Sites Paying With Paypal.
High Paying Surveys
You’re looking at making $1-$2 for 10-15 minutes of surveys, this is not a bad rate for online surveys. Most other survey sites pay around $0.25 to $2, but usually on the lower end of that.
Lots of Payment Options
You have the Paypal and check options which is basically cash and you can use it however you see fit. The air miles are great for people who are into collecting them.
You Won’t Get Surveys Often
Many people complain about not getting enough surveys to do, especially right before or after a cash out. One user mentioned that she never received anymore surveys when her balance reached $19.50 (50 cents before cash out.)
But to me this complaint isn’t consistent as you’ll find many others who have cashed out multiple times. If LegerWeb is going to scam someone, why do it selectively?
But the fact of the matter is still that getting enough earning opportunities on this site will be a challenge. Especially when you’ll get screened out of the survey a few minutes in more often than not.
Getting Screened Out
Being told you don’t qualify is frustrating, especially when you’ve been trying and trying. How often you qualify depends on your demographics, some people get lucky and qualify often enough to reach that $20 threshold and cash out every week. But the vast majority of users will not qualify often, and you’ll be wasting a lot of time answering preliminary screening questions.
Limited Ways To Earn
There’s only one earning method on LegerWeb, and that’s taking surveys. This wouldn’t be a problem if surveys were plentiful and easy to qualify for, but that’s not the case. You’ll get a few survey invites and you’ll only rarely qualify, so where does that leave you?
You can refer others to make $1 each, but how many friends do you know? Not enough to earn you enough to cash out $20 every week I’d assume. And the monthly sweepstakes is an absolute rubbish thing where 99.9% of us would never see any winnings, it’s basically playing the lottery.
That’s why I prefer a site like Swagbucks where you’ll have endless ways to earn, their referral program is also better as they let you earn 10% of your referrals earnings for LIFE.
Check Payments Take Too Long
I’m not sure why anyone would opt to get paid by check when there’s faster options like Paypal and Visa prepaid cards, but maybe some people are afraid of putting their banking information online.
But check payments can take 6-8 weeks to get mailed to you, don’t you think waiting 2 months for a $20 check payment is a bit too much? Also you’ll need to wait for the check to clear in your bank which will take ANOTHER 1-2 weeks before you can actually spend it!
Final Verdict: Is a Scam?
There is no scam with LegerWeb, you can find plenty of people who say they’ve received payments from them. As with most other survey sites, you won’t make a living from doing this. There aren’t enough surveys to do, and most you’ll get screened out of for not qualifying. I wouldn’t expect to make any more than $20 a month at LegerWeb, most likely even less than that.
If you’d like to earn more then check out Swagbucks where there are an enormous amount of ways to earn and you’ll never run out of things to do. They also pay with Paypal and other options, and they also offer a $5 sign up bonus.
