I recently discovered another way to start your own business, it’s called Jeunesse and they reminded me of one of those pyramid schemes you hear people joining and losing money on. So I was curious and investigated Jeunesse to see if they’re a scam or legit opportunity.
Jeunesse is a MLM (multi-level marketing) company that sells health and beauty products. There is also an opportunity to build your own business with them by distributing their products and recruiting other distributors to join under you.
This is starting to sound like a pyramid scheme. Is Jeunesse a scam? Let’s find out…
By the way if you’re not good at selling or recruiting people then MLMs probably isn’t your thing. Check out my Top Work At Home Recommendation instead where I’ll show you how I make $1000+ monthly online by writing for myself.
Type: MLM (multi-level marketing)
Membership Price: $49.95 starter kit + upsells + $19.95/year renewal fee + minimum monthly order of $85
Intro To Jeunesse – What Is It?
Jeunesse is a MLM company that started up back in 2009 by Wendy Lewis & Randy Ray, they are in the health and beauty niche and sells various anti-aging products, they also provide the opportunity for the average person to earn income by promoting their products and recruiting others to do the same.
Their mission is “The Jeunesse Family creates positive impact in the world by helping people look & feel young, while empowering each other to unleash our potential.”
Jeunesse’s Line Of Products
As a supplier of anti-aging health and beauty products, Jeunesse’s line of products include items like supplements, energy drinks, skin and body care creams, weight management pills, and much more.
Here are the products they currently sell:

If you’re seeking to buy these products you probably won’t find them at your local drugstore, shopping center, or other local retailer. Jeunesse is a MLM company which means their products are mainly sold through independent distributors.
Chances are the person who introduced you to Jeunesse is a distributor and you can buy products off them. Or you can visit Jeunesse’s website where you can find all their products for sale, I also see some people selling Jeunesse products on Amazon right now so that’s another option.
If you’re not interested in buying Jeunesse products but instead like to earn extra income with them, you can sign up as an independent distributor.
Become a Jeunesse Independent Distributor
Jeunesse offers you the opportunity to start a business with them. Independent distributors get to work for themselves as their own boss and make extra income, or even full time income selling Jeunesse products and recruiting others to do the same. You won’t be an employee of Jeunesse, but only an independent business owner.
The only way to join is through a sponsor (whoever referred you to Jeunesse), there doesn’t appear to be any way to become a distributor without having the name of your sponsor.
You’ll need to purchase a $49.95 Starter Kit which includes basic startup information that’ll allow you to start promoting Jeunesse products. But you’ll still be encouraged to invest in expensive product packages that can cost up to $1800.
On top of all that they require you to pay a $19.95 yearly renewal fee, also you must make a minimum monthly product purchase of $85 or more, this is called “Autoship” which you’ll need to have in order to remain as an “active” distributor and to qualify in receiving commissions.
If all these fees are too much for you I suggest you check out my Top Work At Home Recommendation instead which is a top-rated platform that teaches you how to build a full time blogging business. It’s FREE to start, and no credit card required!
Jeunesse Compensation Plan
Once you’ve joined as a Jeunesse independent distributor you’ll have various ways of earning an income which I’ll quickly go over below. Jeunesse’s compensation plan is 18 pages long and can be intimidating to read, so I’ll try to explain it in the simplest terms I could below.
Here are the two main ways that Jeunesse distributors can make money:
- Direct Selling – As a distributor you’ll have access to wholesale pricing that’s about 40% cheaper than the suggested retail price. Sell it to customers at the retail price and the difference is your profit.
- Recruiting Other Distributors – Inviting others to sign up as an independent distributor under you, as your team grows you will earn commissions from their sales as well
In addition to the two main ways to earn there are also many types of achievement bonuses, prizes, and other incentives to entice distributors to succeed. Within the compensation plan there are many different levels and ranks you can reach which depends on you and your team’s sales volume.
Basically the higher your rank the more you can earn. For full details you can see Jeunesse’s full compensation plan.
If even after reading their compensation plan you cannot fully understand it, I recommend you to see the video below.

Is Jeunesse a Pyramid Scheme?
No, I wouldn’t say that Jeunesse is a pyramid scheme, they are a MLM (multi-level marketing) business. People always get the two confused and it’s because they’re very similar. For example if you look at their compensation plans a lot of the money is made by recruiting, and the massive downline structures takes the shape of a pyramid.
But MLMs are legit and legal businesses while pyramid schemes aren’t. The difference between the two is that with MLMs you cannot just earn by recruiting, you have to also sell products. But with pyramid schemes there are no products whatsoever, your only way of earning is by recruiting new blood into that pyramid scheme.
Since Jeunesse is a health and beauty MLM company with products, they are clearly in the category of MLM and not pyramid scheme. But even though Jeunesse is offering a legit business opportunity, they’re hardly anything special or worth joining in my opinion.
Why Jeunesse Isn’t Recommended
If you take a look at Jeunesse’s USA Income Disclosure for 2017, you’ll see exactly how much money their distributors are making, and the numbers are not impressive at all!
Here is a screenshot of some highlighted parts:
As you can see from the screenshot above, 61.15% of their distributors made $245 or more. It’s a little hard to tell exactly how much more than $245 are they making, but even if they made $4350 that’s still only averages out to $362 per month which is well below the minimum wage of any state in the US!
Also note that 20% of their distributors made absolutely nothing the whole year of 2017!
Sure there are those few handfuls of people (2.15%) who earned more than $82,000 a year which is pretty good income, but this is highly not typical and it took them on average of 6 YEARS to get to that level of income.
Honestly these results are dismal but very typical of MLMs. I have reviewed many different MLM companies on this blog and from what I’ve seen many people are making chump change at best, some don’t make money or even lose money, and a very very very small handful actually earn anything substantial.
It’s easy to see why so many people aren’t successful doing this… the big startup costs, ongoing monthly costs, and also the compensation plan focuses too much on recruiting. Pretty hard to recruit other “suckers” into the MLM business when it’s such an expensive one to get into!
I suggest you check out my Top Work At Home Recommendation instead where I’ll show you the same strategy that I currently use to earn a $1000+ monthly online income. No selling or recruiting required!
Is Jeunesse a Scam Or Legit?
Jeunesse is a legit MLM company in the health and beauty niche, they provide a genuine opportunity for anyone to start a business with them selling their products and inviting others to do the same. But personally I’m not a fan of MLMs and will not recommend them to others.
Many people think Jeunesse is a pyramid scheme because their business model focuses a lot on recruiting a team, but they do offer products to sell so I can’t call them one, but instead have to address them as a MLM.
Overall this is a very typical MLM business, the majority of distributors are making chump change and only the top 1% are making all the big bucks. Those making substantial money from these types of businesses are able to recruit a massive downline to work under them, if you don’t know how to do that then chances are this isn’t the right business for you.
Below I’ll show you a MUCH better ways to make money online, one that doesn’t require you to sell or recruit and it’s much easier to succeed at for the average person than MLMs.
How I Make My Money Online
In my opinion MLMs are pretty much one of the toughest ways to make money and I’ll never waste my time and energy on that.
Instead I make my money online as an affiliate marketer. Basically what I do is I have a website and I write review posts just like this one, in my posts I promote products and services that I personally use and recommend, when someone clicks my links and buys something I get paid a commission.
Affiliate marketing is WAY better than MLMs for a few reasons:
- You don’t have to sell or recruit, so there’s no dealing with customers
- You’re free to promote ANY product you wish, you’re not limited to promoting only products from the MLM company you join
- It’s FREE to start. But if you’re serious I do recommend you invest in the training program I recommend to you below
If you’re interested in learning how to build your own affiliate marketing website then see my Top Work At Home Recommendation.
My top recommendation is basically a training platform that teaches people on how to build an affiliate marketing website that generates part time or full time passive income for you. They offer step-by-step training courses, videos, tutorials, classrooms, business tools, private coaching, tech support, and so much more.
This really works, guys! It’s the same strategy I currently use to make $1000+ monthly online from this blog you’re on now. But it’s not a get-rich-quick scheme, and I definitely didn’t get to where I’m at now overnight. Be prepared to invest in at least 6-12 months before seeing any major results.
But if you’re seeking methods to earn some quick and easy money, then I recommend that you check out my Favorite “Get-Paid-To” Sites which are sites that supply you with various paid online activities like taking surveys, watching videos, playing games, searching the web, and more.
These “get-paid-to” sites earned the nickname “beer money sites” and I think the reason is obvious, do not expect to earn anything substantial from them because they pay too low and are only useful for a small extra income.
That’s it for this Jeunesse review, I hope this has been helpful and if you have any thoughts of your own about them then leave me a comment down below.
I’m a regular person who started this website in Sept 2017 to help people in making money online. I envision my own success from helping you become successful. My goal is to help you create a consistent online income, let’s make that money!
