Bizrate Rewards is a survey site that gives people the opportunity to earn money online by sharing their opinions through answering surveys. These surveys come from 3rd party market research companies out there who need your opinions to help to create better products and services, your time taking surveys is paid of course.
Usually with online surveys they’re legit, but they’re not worth joining because they’re very low paying, don’t offer other ways to earn, some don’t pay cash but in points only, and other problems that would ruin what an otherwise be a great income opportunity.
So is Bizrate Rewards legit or a scam? Are they worth joining? How much do surveys pay? How do you get paid? I’ll answer all these questions below.
If you’re looking for ways to make extra income online then also check out my Favorite “Get-Paid-To” Sites where there are more ways to earn such as by taking surveys, completing cash offers, reading emails, playing games, watching videos, and much more.
Bizrate Rewards Review
Name: Bizrate Rewards
Type: Paid online surveys
Membership Price: FREE to join
What Is Bizrate Rewards?
Bizrate Rewards is a survey site based in Los Angeles, California. Their parent company Bizrate Insights is a market research company that was started up by Henri Asseily and Farhad Mohit and it has been around since 1996.
Bizrate Rewards connect you to various 3rd party companies in the USA who are seeking the opinions of their target customer base, the data collected is then used to improve their products and services.
Unfortunately Bizrate Rewards doesn’t offer cash payments, only in points that can be redeemed for gift cards. If you’re looking to make cash online then see my Favorite “Get-Paid-To” Sites instead.
How To Join Bizrate Rewards?
They’re free to join but it’s by invite only. When you shop at one of the online retailers that they’ve partnered with, you’ll be given the chance to join when they ask you to fill out a satisfactory survey.
So basically if you just randomly stumbled upon Bizrate Rewards then you can’t join, if you go to their website you’ll find that there’s no sign up button but only a login button.
Another thing is membership is only opened to USA residents only, so it definitely seems like a very exclusive survey site so far.
If you manage to sign up you’ll be able to earn points by taking online surveys, these points can be traded in for a selection of 100+ different e-gift cards.
Take Online Surveys
Once you’re a member of Bizrate Rewards you’ll be notified by email every time that there’s a survey available for you to take. Usually you’ll get at least 2-3 survey invitations per week, you’ll be paid anywhere from 50 to 1000 points per survey depending on various factors like the length and type of the survey.
These surveys are typically just multiple choice questions that takes about 10-15 minutes to complete. You’ll see the exact pay of the survey in the email invitation before you start.
At the beginning of the survey there may be some screening questions you’ll have to answer to determine if you’re the right candidate for that survey. What’s frustrating is you may not “qualify” after answering a long list of screening questions which is a big waste of time.
If you’re able to get past those screening questions then you’ll officially be able to start the REAL survey. Make sure you answer honestly because if there are any holes and inconsistencies with your answers then they may kick you off the survey and ban you.
I highly recommend you check out my Favorite “Get-Paid-To” Sites where they offer paid online activities that doesn’t require you to qualify to earn. You can do offers, play games, watch videos, read emails, and much more.
Earning Chump Change
Bizrate Rewards will pay you about 50 to 1000 points (worth about $0.05 to $1) per survey, you’ll get about 2 surveys per week but only get to complete them if you qualify. In reality this will not add up to anything significant and another problem is you can’t even exchange those points for cash, only e-gift cards.
How many survey invitations you receive per week and qualify for depends on your demographics, some people get more surveys while others get less. It all depends on how you fill out your profile and whether companies are looking for people in your group.
But overall don’t expect to make anything substantial on survey sites, some people take months to reach $10 in earnings!
If you’re looking for a serious part time or full time online income, I recommend you to see my Top Work At Home Recommendation instead where I’ll show you a strategy I currently use to make $1000+ per month.
How Does Bizrate Rewards Pay You?
Once you’ve earned at least a minimum of 5,000 points you’ll have the option to redeem those points for a large variety of e-gift card options including many major online and offline retailers like:
- Home Depot
- Various restaurant
- Plus many more…
You can either redeem your 5,000 points for a $5 gift card payout right away or save them up for a bigger payout. Your points don’t expire as long as you’re active, if you don’t respond to survey invitations or redeem your points in 12 months then your account will expire along with your points.
Unfortunately there’s no way to turn these points into cash. There are no Paypal payment options, not even check! So you’re stuck with your points and those gift card options.
- FREE to join, no membership fee
- Lots of gift card options
- Have to be invited to join
- USA residents only
- Besides surveys there are no other ways to earn
- Low income potential
- Hard to qualify for surveys
- No cash payments, only points and gift cards
Is Bizrate Rewards a Scam or Legit?
Bizrate Rewards appear to be a legit survey site, but they’re very exclusive and doesn’t allow just anybody to join. If you haven’t gotten an invitation from them you can join my Favorite “Get-Paid-To” Sites instead.
What I dislike most about them is the fact they don’t offer any cash payment options. I don’t shop online or go to restaurants, so their gift cards are useless to me. I rather have cold hard cash I can withdraw to my bank account and do whatever I want with it.
It’s common for survey sites to reward you with points, but usually you’re allowed to trade them in for a Paypal cash payment, but with Bizrate Rewards you’re limited to e-gift cards. They do have a large selection of retailers to choose from, but for people who want cash you’re better off looking elsewhere.
Better Ways To Make Money Online
Bizrate Rewards is what I’d call a “pure” survey site, meaning they only offer surveys as a way to earn. I much rather join something called a “get-paid-to” site instead, these sites offer other paid online activities like cash offers, playing games, watching videos, downloading apps, and much more.
I love “get-paid-to” sites more because even if you don’t qualify for surveys you can spend your time on those other activities instead which don’t require you to qualify in order to earn from. I recommend you join my Favorite “Get-Paid-To” Sites which are sites that have paid me before.
But both survey sites and “get-paid-to” sites won’t make you rich, they’re just good for earning extra pocket cash. If you’re looking to make a job-replacing level of online income then check out my Top Work At Home Recommendation where I’ll show you how to make $1000+ per month with a blogging business.
My top recommendation is not a get-rich-quick scheme, it’s a legit opportunity to build an online business that generates passive part time or full time income. But it does take a lot of time and effort to build up, so be prepared to put in some work before you see profits.
That’s it for my Bizrate Rewards review, I hope you have found this helpful and as always I’d love to hear your opinions on them as well. Leave your comments below, I usually respond within a day or two.
