Honest Insite Review – Another Surveys Panel Scam To Avoid?

market research paid to take surveys

So here is another survey panel called Honest Insite, they’re a very simple site that offers cash and gift cards for taking surveys. After researching them I HONESTLY gotta say that they’re not worth it.

Honest Insite is not a scam, they do offer surveys and you get paid for them, but there are many problems with this site that I will address in this review. Most of these problems are serious ones too, like complaints about them not paying users, bad customer service, and a general lack of earning opportunities on the site.

I don’t think Honest Insite is worth joining.  I highly recommend you to stick to the bigger well-known sites with a good reputation, ones that are known for paying their users. Check out these extra income sites I use and recommend.

Below in this Honest Insite review I’ll show you how they work, how they pay, and why this site is so problematic.

Intro – Honest Insite Panel Review

My Rating: 1.6 out of 5

earn cash or gift cards answering surveys

So I have given Honest Insite a 1.6 out of 5 in this review and there’s a reason I graded them poorly. I’d say they’re borderline scam but not scam entirely because they’re free to join and a few people say they got paid, but in recent years they’ve racked up quite a bit of negative reviews and so they appear to be really shady.

There are many complaints having to do with not getting compensated fro surveys, not getting paid, not getting surveys to do just as you’re about to hit the payout threshold, and receiving zero response from support.

Overall you’d be taking a gamble with this site. There isn’t a lot of good things to say about Honest Insite and so I’d recommend that you join sites with better reputation. My favorite extra income site is Swagbucks (read review) they’ve been around since 2008 and have paid over $170 million to their members.

How Does Honest Insite Work?

Taking Surveys

There’s only one way to earn and that’s taking surveys. Once you’ve joined and logged in you’ll see the surveys available for you to take. Personally I only see one available survey for me right now that pays $0.40 to $3.

As with other online surveys you’ll have to qualify to get paid. I’ve seen many user complaints about them not offering many surveys. So it’s twice the frustration when you don’t get offered surveys, then once you do you have to also qualify.

Did You Know?

Some sites called “get-paid-to” pays you to watch TV, surf the web, click ads, do tasks, join websites, and much more. This is great because these guarantee an income whereas with surveys you won’t get paid if you don’t qualify. My favorite get-paid-to site is Swagbucks (read review) but I recommend you check out the full list of sites I recommend HERE.

How Does Honest Insite Pay You?

getting paid paypal gift cards

Their minimum payout threshold is $15 via gift cards and $30 via Paypal.

Gift cards include Amazon, Best Buy, and Starbucks.

Visa gift card starts at a minimum of $75. You can also choose to donate your earnings to Red Cross, minimum starts at $20.

If you don’t think $15 or $30 is that much, think again. Some users report they only get surveys 3x a year! And most times you probably won’t qualify and even if you do they only pay $0.40 to $3 and typically on the lower end of that! Good luck getting to that $30 for a Paypal payout.

I prefer other sites like Swagbucks (read review) where you can redeem rewards starting at just $3.

The Complaints

Just so you know, most survey sites have lots of negative reviews and it’s totally normal. Angry customers complain the loudest and so that’s all you see. But usually the complaints have to do with accounts getting shut down, this can happen due to violation of the site’s terms such as by having multiple accounts.

But it’s a much bigger concern when the complaints are about completed surveys not being compensated for, earnings not being paid, and questions to support goes unanswered. These are the complaints you’ll find with Honest Insite.

Earning those nickles and dimes are already tough enough, but it’s too much to tolerate when you also have to worry about whether or not you’ll get scammed and not get paid in the end.

Final Verdict – Scam Or Legit?

Honest Insite is one of those sites that are not quite legit, but not quite a scam either. There are numerous complaints about members not getting paid, and some that have gotten paid in the past seem to run into problems eventually down the road as well.

It just seems like a gamble and there’s no certainty of whether you’ll get paid or not. To add to the problem their surveys are low paying and seldom offered. So honestly it will take you a VERY long time to see that $30 Paypal payment, if at all.

Overall there’s just no reason to join Honest Insite when there are so many other sites out there not only with better reputation but also offer better ways to earn that don’t involve having to qualify for anything.

As I mentioned before I prefer get-paid-to sites. Earn money watching videos, playing games, doing tasks, reading emails, and if you want a crack at surveys they have those too. Check out these get-paid-to sites I have reviewed, marked as legit, and DO recommend. If you just want to join the best then go with Swagbucks (read review.)

But survey sites and other similar things won’t make you a huge online income, if you’re looking to make something more substantial then check out my #1 Recommended Way of Making Money Online to learn how to make a full time online income building websites/blogs.
