Today I discovered another mystery shopping opportunity. Field Agent is an app that lets you become a “field agent” meaning you go to shops, stores, and other businesses out there on the field as a mystery shopper, gathering information such as product prices, customer service, and other stuff. You get paid to do this of course.
I’m sure you’re wondering if Field Agent is a scam? How much can you earn? How do they pay? Find out the answers below in this Field Agent app review!
If you’d rather stay indoors you can also make some extra online income at “get-paid-to” sites like Swagbucks, Inbox Pays, and Cash Crate where they pay you to take surveys, do offers, playing games, watching videos, and more.

What Is Field Agent?
Field Agent is a company that gives people the opportunity to earn some extra money by going out there to local shops, stores, and other businesses to collect specific information such as how stores price and display their products.
As a “field agent” you just have to collect data, take photos and/or videos with your smartphone and relay this info back to Field Agent. This information is used by their clients to improve their overall services to their customers.
In the app you’ll need to sign up for an account which is free and easy, just fill out the form with your name, email, and create a password. Currently membership is available in the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Mexico, and a few other countries.
Filling Out Your Profile
Then you’ll need to fill out your profile and answer questions about your age, income, education, spending habits, etc. This will also allow them to send you any paid surveys that may be available.
After you’ve signed up and filled out your profile you’re ready to start.
Just log in to the app and click on the “Find Jobs” section. The app will use your phone’s GPS to detect your location and show you what opportunities are available in your location.
The jobs are on a “first come first serve” basis, so it’s a good idea to check the app regularly for opportunities that may come up. The job description will tell you the name and address of the store and what data needs to be collected once you’re there. If you see a job available and you want to do it then click accept the job.
However I was quite disappointed because there’s not even one job available in my location when I checked. I live in a medium sized city with about 3 million people, and there weren’t even a single opportunity. Maybe you’ll have more luck.
How Much Money Can You Make?
Apparently most jobs pay between $1 to $12. Usually it should take no more than 10-20 minutes to do the job once you’re at the store. You just have to find items at the store to gather some data like current pricing, take some pictures and videos, and maybe fill out a survey.
But the biggest issue you’ll face is not finding enough job opportunities. Many people (myself included) have found very little available jobs in their area, if there are no jobs then there’s no way to earn.
If you want to start earning right away then check out “get-paid-to” sites like Swagbucks, Inbox Pays, and Cash Crate instead where you’ll always have ways to earn including surveys, offers, games, videos, emails, and much more.
How Do They Pay?
After doing the job you’ll have to submit it to Field Agent where they’ll either approve or reject your submission. Some things they look for is accuracy of data, quality of pictures and videos, etc.
If your submission is approved then you’ll see the pay placed into Field Agent account balance. From there you can cash out via direct deposit or prepaid debit card.
- Free to join
- Jobs are easy to do
- Good money per job
- Not available worldwide, only to USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Mexico, and a few other countries
- Many people complain about finding no jobs in their area
- Some people say they don’t pay
- Very low income potential
Is Field Agent App a Legit Opportunity?
Despite a few complaints about payment issues it appears that for the most part Field Agent does pay, and so I’d label them as a legit opportunity. But if you think you can quit your day job to do this full time you need to wake up and smell the coffee cause it ain’t gonna happen.
First of all the opportunities may be scarce depending on your location, also the pay is really low after you factor in gas or other transportation costs. There’s also the chance your submission can be denied which wastes more of your time and energy.
If none of this sound good to you maybe you’d be more interested in “get-paid-to” sites such as Swagbucks, Inbox Pays, and Cash Crate where you can stay home and earn money by taking surveys, completing offers, playing games, watching videos, and much more.
If you’re looking for a full time work at home opportunity that can actually replace your day job then check out my Top Work At Home Recommendation which is suitable for those looking to earn at least $1000+ per month.
