DollarSurveys.net Review – Is Dollar Surveys a Scam Or Legit?

paid online surveys for free

Welcome to another survey site review, this time I’m reviewing a site called DollarSurveys.net. This is the simplest survey site I’ve ever seen, unlike other sites you don’t even need to register for an account. Just give them your Paypal email and they’ll start sending surveys to your inbox.

This site have lot of mixed reviews, lots of angry members on forums saying they haven’t gotten paid or credited for completed surveys. As this is a serious issue, I’ll cover more on this later on in this Dollar Surveys review.

So is Dollar Surveys a scam or legit? A few people on forums do report getting paid, so I can’t call them a scam. But if I were you I’d rather not risk it and just join better reputable sites like Swagbucks (read my review) instead where they’ve now paid over $175 million to their members since 2008.

How Does Dollar Surveys Work?

Dollar Surveys earned a rating of 2.2 out of 5 and they’re really not the best, but not quite scam. My greatest concern is whether they pay or not, and as right now it seems the odds of getting paid are about 50/50.

Many users have reported not being paid, and there’s also the usual complaints of rarely qualifying for surveys and getting kicked out of them when almost to completion. I do like that they pay through Paypal, but their minimum payout threshold is set at $30 which is on the high side.

No Registration Required – Why It’s Not a Good Thing

I review a lot of survey sites on this blog and this is the first time I’ve ever seen a site that doesn’t require registration. You just go on their site and enter your Paypal email in a little box to start receiving survey invites, that’s it.

This may seem like a positive thing as it makes them very easy to use, but this is troubling because how can they send you the right surveys if they don’t know anything about you?

Most sites require you to fill out your profile with basic demographic questions so they can know you better and to send you surveys you have a good chance of qualifying for. So this tells me that Dollar Surveys just sends you random surveys you’ll have very little chance of qualifying for.

Taking Surveys

You’ll get survey invites in your email inbox. Most surveys pay around $0.75 to $1 (hence their name Dollar Surveys) and take 10-20 minutes to complete. You’ll see how much you’ll be paid before taking the survey. On their site they say that it can take up to 7 days to get credited after completing the survey.

How Does Dollar Surveys Pay You?

There’s only one way of receiving your payments and that’s by Paypal. This is not a problem for many people as that’s basically cash you can withdraw to your bank and do whatever you want with it.

But they require you to earn at least $30 minimum before getting paid, this is very high and most people would quit before reaching it. Your payment will be processed within about 7 days once requested.

While $30 may not seem like much, you won’t be offered that many surveys, and most you won’t qualify for. At $0.75 to $1 per survey, it will take you months to reach that payout!

Then even after all that you still have to worry whether they actually pay or not, is all that worth it to you?

There are much better sites to join with better reputation, more ways to earn, and lower minimum payouts. My personal favorite is Swagbucks (read my review) but you should also check out my full list of survey sites I recommend.

Dollar Surveys Complaints

On the internet forums you can find a lot of people bashing Dollar Surveys and calling them out for not offering many surveys and not paying/crediting. What could be more frustrating than getting cheat out of $30 you worked months and months to accumulated?

Their customer service also appears to be terrible to non-existent. Some people emailed them after not being credited/paid and have gotten no response. Here are a few screenshots of user complaints I have found:

Final Conclusion: Scam Or legit?

I can’t call Dollar Surveys a scam because they do pay some users, but overall there are too many people running into problems at payout. I wouldn’t recommend joining them when there are tons of better sites out there where you can be sure you’ll get paid.

If you’re looking to join the most trustworthy site then you can’t go wrong with Swagbucks (read my review.) They’re technically a “get-paid-to” site, in addition to surveys you can also earn watching videos, doing offers, playing games, shopping, and more. That’s awesome because these things don’t require you to qualify, so you’re sure to get something for your time.
