Directive Analytics is an online survey panel that lets you earn real cash by answering surveys on various products and services. These surveys help companies better understand what consumers are looking for, by sharing your opinions you help shape future products and services or even to change existing ones.
I decided to research them to see how much you can actually earn doing this. I’m sure some of you may be wondering if Directive Analytics is a scam? How do you join? How do they pay you? In this Directive Analytics review I’ll cover the good, bad, and ugly so you can make your own informed decision.
Let’s get cracking!

Directive Analytics Review
Name: Directive Analytics
Type: Paid surveys, focus groups, diaries
Membership Price: FREE
What Is Directive Analytics?
Directive Analytics is an online panel that pays you to participate in a variety of market research activities such as answering surveys, joining focus groups, doing interviews, and referring others to join the panel.
They’re based in Trumbull, Connecticut, USA but they accept members from every country.
You can join this online panel for free. Although anyone in every country can join, typically you’ll find less opportunities if you’re outside the USA.
To get started just enter your email plus answer some profiling questions such as your gender, date of birth, income, martial status, education, etc. This helps them to send you more targeted and relevant surveys.
After completing your profiling questions you can submit your application and your panelist account will be activated within 3-5 business days. Once it’s activated you can start earning.
How To Earn At Directive Analytics?
One of the main earning opportunities on Direct Analytics is by taking surveys. These surveys come in a variety of topics including finance, sports, travel, automobiles, technology, and much more.
After you’ve joined you will receive survey invitations via email, in the invitation you’ll see how much you’ll earn for the survey and estimated time of completion.
Each survey typically pays around $0.50 to $1, sometimes more, they only take around 10-15 minutes to complete.
Before the actual survey you’ll have to answer screening questions to see if you qualify, how often you qualify depends on how you filled out your profile and whether you fit the survey creator’s target demographic.
If you qualify for and complete the survey you will be credited your earnings within a week or two, or when the survey closes.
You won’t be paid cash directly, Direct Analytics pays you with a virtual currency called Direct Points. But don’t worry, these points are worth real money that you can cash out later on.
For your reference 1 Direct Point = $0.01 USD.
Besides surveys there are other earning opportunities such as focus groups, discussion groups, creating diaries, and more. You will occasionally receive invitations to these opportunities via email, again how often you qualify depends on how you filled out your profile and whether your demographic is needed.
These other opportunities tend to pay a lot more than surveys. One member did a diary with them for about a week and got paid $125. But unfortunately these opportunities are few and far in between, how often you get invited or if you even get invited at all is all down to luck in the end.
The crappy thing about survey panels like Directive Analytics is that to earn you must qualify. You may get a lot of survey invitations, but if you qualify for none of them then it’s all just a waste of time.
Even if you manage to qualify for the majority of surveys, you’ll still be making maybe $4 an hour if you’re lucky which is well below the minimum wage.
I highly recommend you check out These “Get-Paid-To” Sites instead which are sites that provide many opportunities where you don’t need to qualify to start earning. You can get paid to watch videos, play games, open emails, click ads, and much more.
How Does Directive Analytics Pay You?
Once you’ve earned at least $5 you can request a payout via check by sending them an email. It will take anywhere from 6-8 weeks for delivery. Unlike many other survey sites there are no options to get paid via online means such as PayPal or gift cards.
If you’re interested in getting paid via PayPal or gift cards then check out these sites here instead.
- Cost $0 to join the panel
- Anyone around the world can join
- Low $5 payment minimum
- Takes 3-5 days for account to get activated
- Those outside USA may receive less opportunities
- Surveys and other opportunities can be hard to qualify for
- Surveys earnings take a long time to get credited
- Low earning potential
- Only pays with a slow ass check
Is Directive Analytics a Scam?
Directive Analytics seems to be a legit survey panel and scam-free, but I wouldn’t depend on it for making any serious income. I do like that they allow anyone in the world to join, but unless you’re from the USA opportunities are likely going to be scarce.
A deal breaker for me is that they don’t offer PayPal or gift card payments. Why in this day and age would anyone still want to wait for a slow ass check that will take 6-8 weeks to be delivered, then another 1-2 weeks to get cleared at the bank, all for a measly $5 or whatever payout?
You can always check out my Favorite “Get-Paid-To” Sites that not only pay you to take surveys but also give you other fun ways to earn like by watching videos, playing games, searching the web, downloading apps, and much more. These sites all pay with PayPal which is fast and convenient.
It may be possible to make $100+ per month if you join multiple sites to take advantage of all opportunities. But I don’t recommend you trying to make a living doing these things because they’re all pay well below minimum page.
If you’re looking to make a full time online income I suggest you Build a Blogging Business which is what I currently do to make $1000+ per month. The downside is that building a blog is a very slow way to make money, don’t expect to make any serious income until after 6-12 months of consistent work and effort.
That’s all for this Directive Analytics review. As usual I’d love to hear your comments and questions down below.
