Darwin’s Data is a very unusual survey site that pays you up to $25/hr by simply answering surveys and sharing your honest opinions. However, their surveys are on a very specific topic – legal disputes.
I was very curious and so I did some research on them to see if they really pay as much as they do. Is Darwin’s Data a scam or legit? Can you make a living doing this? How do you get paid?
In this Darwin’s Data review I’ll reveal the truth about them including the good, the bad, and the ugly. Let’s get started!
By the way, you should check out my list of Favorite “Get-Paid-To” Sites which are sites that also pay you to take surveys, but there’s other paid tasks as well such as watching videos, playing games, opening emails, and lots more.
Darwin’s Data Review
Name: Darwin’s Data
Type: Paid legal dispute surveys
Membership Price: FREE, USA, 18+, By invite only
What Is Darwin’s Data?
Darwin’s Data started up back in 2016, they are a market research panel based in El Segundo, California.
Basically they pay you to take legal dispute surveys, they’re what I call an extra income website which is a site that’s not going to pay you enough to make a full time income, but it’s a fun side hustle to earn some lunch money in your spare time.
Darwin’s Data is free to sign up, but there are a couple of requirements:
- You must be a USA citizen
- You must be 18+
- You must have a driver’s license or be a registered voter
- Surveys must be completed on a non-mobile device
This panel is also by invitation only, so you’ll need to click “Request an Invite” and fill out a quick form with your name, date of birth, home address, and email.
Once you’ve requested your invitation you’ll have to wait for them to get back to you, so this could take a couple of days or even weeks. If you get accepted and received an invitation from them you’ll have to create an account, the registration process will include having to fill a bunch of profile questions which will take about 30 minutes which is quite lengthy.
After registering they give you a $10 Tango card right away which is a pretty generous sign up bonus! From there you’re ready to start taking surveys and earn more money.
Legal Dispute Surveys That Pay $25/hr
Darwin’s Data offers high paying legal dispute surveys that pay $25 a pop, this is very high compared to regular survey sites like Survey Junkie where surveys typically pay $0.25 to $1.50!
The way these surveys work is that they’ll show you an online video describing a legal dispute, and then they’ll ask you about your opinions on various aspect of that. Each survey will take you about 1 hour to complete, so you’ll be earning $25/hr which is a pretty good return for your time spent.
You’ll receive an email from them whenever there’s a survey available that fits your profile.
Can You Do This Full Time?
Very unlikely. The main problem with Darwin’s Data is that there aren’t that many surveys to go around. As you can imagine surveys paying $25/hr is in very high demand, so there’s more survey takers than needed. The most common complaint from members is that surveys seldom come by. Many people will be lucky to get 1 or 2 surveys a month.
How often you receive surveys depend on your profile, but my guess is that you probably wouldn’t be able to make more than maybe $25 to $50 per month.
If you want to earn more you should check out my Favorite “Get-Paid-To” Sites which are my favorite ways to make extra income online. They offer paid surveys, offers, games, videos, and plenty more ways to earn. A good idea may be to join multiple sites to increase your overall earning potential.
How Does Darwin’s Data Pay You?
One really good thing about Darwin’s Data is that there are no minimum payout amounts. As soon as you’ve completed the survey you’ll receive your $25 through a Tango card.
Tango cards are prepaid cards you can use to buy different gift cards from retailers like Amazon, iTunes, Best Buy, Target, Starbucks, Wholefoods, and lots more.
Unfortunately it doesn’t appear they pay cash. If you don’t want gift cards you may not want anything to do with Tango Cards! If you want to get paid cash see These Sites That Pay Cash With PayPal.
- Free to sign up
- $10 sign up bonus
- High paying surveys, make up to $25/hr
- Need an invitation to join
- Long registration process
- Very little survey opportunities
- No PayPal or any cash payments, only Tango cards
Is Darwin’s Data a Scam?
Darwin’s Data is certainly not a scam. They’re not only a legit survey site but a very high paying one. It’s absolutely true that you can earn $25/hr taking their legal dispute surveys, but the catch is that you won’t receive that many opportunities and you’ll be lucky to receive 1 or 2 surveys a month, which doesn’t add up to a lot of income.
Another downside is they only pay with Tango cards which is useless to people who are not interested in gift cards. Personally I prefer sites that pay with PayPal because it’s quick, easy, and I can spend my earnings however I want.
I recommend you check out These Top “Get-Paid-To” Sites because they offer plenty of fun paid tasks you can do to earn such as taking surveys, playing games, watching videos, opening emails, and more. They also pay cash with PayPal so you can use your earnings to buy food, pay bills, withdraw to your bank, etc.
However don’t expect to make any serious income with any of these sites, they’re called “extra income” sites for a reason.
